i import engines from japan and i have buddys that go every 6 weeks to look out for the cars. thay say that in japan race games and rollpaly games are huge. plus they got gt4 now i think? damnit thay got a jump on us!!!!!!!!!!!

man, im asian, u just know by my nickname......but i would have to say im good, from US though, check out the vids, ill post a new one up in 2 weeks, the last video i made was 2 months ago

i am chinese ,i am looking for someone can tell me how to get a S license in GT3 haha...anyway i think i am not good at this game ,but i ll try to be better, it is really hard t o drift , i saw video clip in here pretty ...........cool who re they ?

Are you a lone player or do you have friends who also play?
Do you know how good other Chinese players are?

I'm prolly of the very few Indian GT fans in the world... still havnt found anyone who can beat me in the GT series where am living!...so there no challenge here :(

I'm glad GT4 is gonna be online...so I can race with you guys!!!:D
 
Gt4 will prove who the superior racer is in the world.......prob an asian, cuzz they made this game, or a real racers. lol.....but mostly likely me, cuzz im a crazy azn, hahahhahahahah, dont mess, i need a challenge from someone....CHALLENGE ME IN A RACE

i am not older than you , i think i done some mistake when i register here,sorry@

i just got one friend play this game and he always copy the result from my memory card haha... in my city, people think EA NFS better than this one, because they felt very fast and easy to understand set up the car.

i saw some videoclip online from chiese player, but no drifting only race...anyway i ll try to pass S level in this weekend, good on you guys!

The mods should be able to fix your personal info.

Since the Chinese haven't had the PS2 as long as players in other Asian countries, the skill level, in general, may not be as high as for, say, the Japanese.

Maybe you can convince your friends of GT3's merits and win them over. 👍

I'm Korean blooded, American cultured... Any "skills" I have would likely come from the thousands of hours I've spent playing this awesome game, and not likely from my ancestry. I highly doubt there are any human genes for video game playing, but evolution works in strange ways.

Consider this:
How long have video games been around? How long have Asians (or Humans, for that matter) been around? Video games have been around for only 40 years, at best, while Humans have been around for thousands of years. Furthermore, the global reach of video games these days wouldn't seem (to me) to be advantageous to any particular group of people... except for those who have enough time to play/practice them.

But what if Asians had something in their blood that makes them better at video games? What evolutionary advantage would this serve, and how would it help propgate this advantage to future generations? Any answers to these questions would seem silly, and far-fetched at best...

The fact of the matter is that different people are "better" than others at different things, for different reasons.. Sometimes because of innate talent, sometimes because of practice, but it's usually a combination of both. Not many people live lives that would allow for them to dedicate the time, effort, and thumbpain necessary to do what I've done... And I'm nowhere near the best.

As good or bad as I might be, the breadth of my skill set would be attributable only to the dedicated hours I've spent practicing/playing this game, and not because of my parents (and their parents, and so on...).

The above thread was a result of my own insane dedication, not my parents'. Keep trying hard at something, and good things can happen.


I just started playing this game again, from 0%. My previous runs (this will be my 4th time finishing it) were all done with Automatic tranny... now it's time to run in Manual.

Someday, I'll send Jordan a copy of my gamesave, so he can post or verify what I've done (I'll never buy a gameshark/xport). I'll try to pop in once in a while to let you know how things are.

Anyway, non-asians have no reason to feel disadvantaged when racing against asians, and asians shouldn't assume any advantage over any non-asians...

Who's leading the current F1 series??? Who's won 12 of 14 F1 races this year? Who locked up his ***7th*** F1 championship 5 races early??? I forget.. but I don't think he's asian...

Of course your background has no direct impact on how good you are, but it DOES have an indirect impact and that's your parents. Growing up Asian usually means that your parents likely encouraged you to play some sort of musical instrument. Playing an instrument of any kind WILL enhance your hand-eye coordination. Add that to the fact that the majority of Asians can play pretty good piano by grade 7 and you have a jump start on everyone else that's not as well developed in the skill. And obviously you need to know how automobile physics work but having an advantage is having an advantage.

So what does that mean? Piano will help me play GT? hahaha no... but the Hand-Eye coordination will.

im chinese...and playing guitar or anything does really help ur gt3 driving....as for the asains are better thing...ill school u al...jk...but im a pretty good drifter...i just need a capture card

From what I've observed, most of my asian friends are much much better at the more arcade-y racing games (Midnight Maximum Tune, Initial *shudder* D) than they are at the more realistic sims. I guess it's just what you're used to really. I guess it's mainly because most of my asian friends play at the arcades and not so much at home.
 
I agree with chaos95
people from hongkong are very good in acrade games (other asian countries too, similar culture)
they spend lots of $$$ playing it
for racing games, some are very good at it
I used to be one of them when I was in hongkong
but not many people are good at sim racing there
because most people's apartment are very small (small like dorm)
and have no space for racing wheel or hard to get a good setup
so acrade always the most popular there and they can versus others anytime
sim racing at home is just an alternative for them
