Huh?? What do you mean??

1 or 3.. its been 1 for the past 3 weeks, probly change to 3 soon. I guess thats an average of two blades then... 2 it is

I have an electric, but my facial hair never shows anyway so It doesn't really matter much.

I have a transluscent soul patch and a Mexican-looking moustache. I have five (yes, five) Gillette Mach 3's that I received on my 18th birthday. One at each of my parent's houses, two under an alias I made up for BMG music, and one more I found (packaged) in my bathroom.

I have some crappy electric. Well it was ok when I got it, but now instead of cutting of some hairs, it just pulls them out. :ouch: and it always leaves stray hairs uncut on my neck :odd:

I use a Gilette Mach 3. Just a normal one - no fancy colours or motors or vibrating bits for me.

I used an electric razor once or twice, and it was crap! Didn't get in nearly as close.

I've had my orignal Mach 3 handle since they came out. I went to an all boys school, and we had to be clean shaven. There was a bit of blitz on facial hair, so the school got Gilette to give each student a Mach 3. (Just a marketing ploy as what they lost on giving away razors they would make back in the replacement blades we'd buy..) Anyway, I'm still using that handle, but many blades/heads down the line from there. We're talking 6 odd years here...

I use Nivea for Men Shaving Gel - that gel is awesome and one can lasts about 3 months. I've heard King of Shaves Shave oil is the best though.

After a shower, some warm water on the face to open the skin, then apply the gel. Remove with the razor, rinsing regularly. Down on the face, up on the mneck. Then warm water to remove any excess cream, and finally rinse with cold water to close the pores. All done and off to work - no doubt late as usual...

One more thing - I'm proud to say I've never shaved any part of my body other than my face... Did shave a mates eyebrows off when he was passed out drunk ont he floor though!

If you are going electric, avoid Norelco. They don't work. I have no idea how they stay in business. I use Braun like YSSMAN, or Fusion like Omnis. I don't like Fusion though. I cut myself like 50% of the time. With Mach 3, I never had issues, so I'm going back.
Seriously? Wow - I've never had a problem with the Fusion. I think it's miles better than the 3. Are you sure you aren't overusing the blade? I'll find some snagging after about 2-3 weeks or so, upon which I finish up with the single blade. Do you shave with warm water and soak your face beforehand? I can't shave at the sink without some kind of BS at work. Shaving in the shower is just awesome because of the steam and constant deluge of hot water; just grab yourself at lil' suction-cup mirror to put on the wall.

But, forget shaving. MOAR PICS!
From the "Pics of Yourself" thread. :sly:

I do wet my face(throughly) with hotwater, I've always done that. Since I've switched to Fusion, I've been cutting my face up. I think I do tend to use the blade too much, but it was no different with my previous razor, Mach 3. And with the "3", I never ever got any cuts.

i use a Wilkinsonsword quattro (i know its something different in the states but can't remember what) it only usually cuts the edge of my jaw sometimes but its great the rest of the time. its much better than my old mach 3!

Electrical, I use the Philishave "smartTouch - XL. It's got 3 blades (circles) as well

Mach3power. Good stuff

Gillette shaving cream

I have Gillette Mach 3, and it actually does better job than the electric one I have. and M3 thingie is for bimmer fanbois..

Hot water, Gillette foam, straight razor, and Old Spice "Burns Like Hell" aftershave, ftw. Yes, I have skillz.

Actually, I use a cheapo electric shaver. It works.

I use an electric shaver, been using one since early 2004.

It looks similar to that.

I finally made a change after 10 years; I've been using the Gillette Fusion since January, and I like it. They sent me a free one in the mail, so their marketing ploy seemed to do the trick.

The individual cartridges last me about 6 weeks, so an 8-pack shall last me about one year.

I recently upgraded from the Mach 3 to the Fusion Power. I'm in the Navy and I have to shave everyday. My facial hair is way to coarse and dark for an electric shaver. Even either the Fusion I still get asked, "Did you shave this morning." I get a 5 o'clock shadow before lunch time.

In an effort to bring you the longest delayed reply to a post, I bring you this:
I use some off-brand 2-blade cheap thingie (I think Bic – yes, the same people who make the cheaper-by-the-dozen pens). Seriously, I’ve used one blade, two blade, and three blade razors, and I really couldn’t tell the difference except that I cut myself once on the single blade and the three blade razor clogged too much, so I went for the two blade. Anyway, it’s like less than a buck, and totally disposable, so…
With the exception of the single blade, I've also done the "which works better" test (defined as which gets the closest (as tested by my wife) and therefore requires me to shave less often), as I despise shaving with a passion. I shaved half of my face with my tried and true 2 blade cheap-in-a-ten-pack disposable. The other half was with either a 3 or 4 blade. My conclusion is this - as long as you are using a blade and going against the grain, the number of blades is irrelevant. For quick shaves I us a Braun similar to MustangSVT's.

I can use the disposable at most two times before it gets tossed, as any uses after that result in massive blood loss. That is probably thanks to the fact that I've been shaving for longer than some of you have been alive.

Four. I got the Wilkinson Sword Quattro razor, (actually got two of them, one came free with a men's mag) and I use Gilette gel

Four. I use a Shick Quattro.

Two. Just a cheap, disposable razor. No need for multiple blades.
