How many cars will have cockpits?

Over 9000!!!!
Joking, all of them will (hopefully not the 🤬 we saw in GT PSP)

They better not do the cockpits like GTPSP. There isn't even a benefit to that "cockpit" view, all it does is severely limit your view.

True, but it's the more realistic view since you have some blind spots and during a race you end up saying "Bloody Hell! Where did that Ford GT came from?", so you feel challenged, this is the most important feel. This damn AI is fiercely trying to beat me...👍

C'mon doubters - PD don't do things by half. I think they comitted themselves to a huge number of cars at a high detail a long time ago and have stuck to their guns.

this is starting to tilt me. Anyone who went to highschool can understand

1,000 vehicles
170 Premium new models (full interior modeling, the interior corresponds to vehicle damage)

the PARENTHESIS should change your interpretation. if it was a coma, i could understand all the 170 cockpits madness, but seriously.

I think the brackets just put emphasis on the work they've done on the new models

e.g. 1000 lasagnas
170 low fat lasagnas (tomatoe sauce, the blablabla)

see the other 830 have tomatoe sauce too

^ The whole lasagna thing, it ruined your argument.
You say that there is 1000 cars, but 170 are low fat? Wouldn't that mean less stuff?
Oh, but you said 'too'. Does that mean everything gets a cockpit, but 170 get low fat cockpits? All cars will most probably get cockpits, and they will ALL have decent quality. Remember half of the cars will be the Cappucino's age and they did a cockpit for that.

I was just curious about how many cockpits will have the inside view.

Yes, it is confirmed all cockpits will have the inside view. It'd be pretty pointless to build a cockpit without an inside view, as by definition cockpits are inside...:sly:

Agree, lets close the thread? I do not think there is anything to discuss anymore for 10000th time.

170 cockpit or 1000 at least better than FM3 crappy awkward cockpit

GT5 will have so many cockpits that it can give half of them to other games.

looooooool oh my god you have issues. its just an image i just thought between a ensemble of things (cars, lasagnas) and a special kind of (premium, low fat) to make a point. And you just read it at the 1st degree.
Seriously i'm done...

how can my argument be ruined, i'm just talking about fact about english semantics and ponctuation.

Yeah PD should make a donation to turn10. Yes they added shift animation (latest fm3's patch) but they forgot to fix cockpits: gagues not working, especially turbo's (NONE of the gauges in the HKS Evo work btw) and the led rpm are missing is some Ferraris.

The full bug list is here http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/3154441.aspx

Here is my theory. I think all cars WILL have the cockpit view, even the prototypes. My logic? Every single car had the blacked out cockpit, and they are the same shape as the real life counterpart. I think they had it blacked out because the PSP cannot support the full blown cockpit cam. I think that if GTPSP had the 825 cockpits blacked out, GT5 would have the full on stuff.

Another theory... do you think that PD is kicking their butts into gear and maybe throwin out the "170 premium car" stuff? They talked about their "dynamic damage system" that can be used on "all cars" relatively easily and i think that maybe the "leak" was intentional to maybe have fan's reactions to see if they were doing it right...

It's hard to say with prototypes, in GTPSP like you said all they did was basically make a black outline of where the cockpit will be. This is obviously easier than doing a well-detailed cockpit. I do think the prototypes will have a cockpit view though as they will obviously be modeling the exterior so it wouldn't be to out there for them to get the necessary info for the interior as well.

You will know, when its in your ps3.

That's crazy. How does a simulator release if it doesn't have the right components of the cars? That, to me, is common sense in a simulator and blows my mind. I'm sure Kaz and his team will do their best as to having as few errors as possible.

None of those bugs are game breakers, not like NFS SHIFT which had random crashes and cars flat out not moving. They're all just little bugs you expect for a game the size of Forza given how much time they had on it. Its clear the T10 team put more effort into actually getting the game into the sweaty hands of fans than PD who spend a lot of time perfecting things... both approaches have merits. We'll see how many flaws there are in GT5 once we can actually play it.

Cars and lasagnas, put a lot of thought in it but then it came to me:

Both leave skidmarks :)

Maybe this is not the place, but i have FM3 i play regulary and i dont notice any bug, i dont mind they dont have bugs, but i didnt notice one.

And IMO all cars have cockpit, i mind, super 3d modes and no cockpit? yeah, sure...

Sorry my english.

What GT5 comes with lasagna!?! This game gets better and better! So that's why the disk case is bigger...

^lasagnas are phenomenal.....exactly as GT...maybe this is what he was trying to say.......or maybe not...

Someone posted before in this same thread, a picture of the modeling of a fiat cinquecento and the mercedes 300 sl gullwing, so I have one basic question and there's no possibility that no one of your well informed gentlemen don't even have a clue of where it is, so:

Does anyone have a link, to the source website of the interior modeling pictures?

What if there was a driving challenge where you have to drive across the ring and you have a stack of 5 lasagnas and you have to not spill lol. That could be a top gear challenge!

just like a bunch of children, destracted from the argument by the lasagna. Just amazing what gtplanet is down to.

I mean the guy actually said 'does that mean the cockpit are low fat ?' and you still talk about me ? i mean there should be a whole thread trying to put money together to put that guy through college or something. I tried to give the most distant example from gt5 to make a point, but yet can't read it higher than 1st degree.

Sorry my english.

Good for you, but many people found bugs (imo it's not bug, it's lack of polish) driver shgift animations, guages not working or working weird, or rollovers from bumps (lol)... and it's ice tip and there is many more unpolished , glitched, bugyy things ...most annoying is AWD and all AWD PI is unbalanced as hell... so watch leaderboards.. loooot of AWD Audi's .. And it's a mayor fail in my opinion. Best known to man cars are most RWD not AWD. Sure GTR is one of exceptions but how many supercars like GTR are there ? And IRL you don't see lots of AWD audi cars on top places...

It's a proof that you can't simply do a game big as GT in only 2 years. They tried to do what PD is tryin acomplish over 10 years..

Every car will have cockpit views, but some will have better modelled ones. I presume these will be the Japanese cars,

Not that I'm complaining, I'm happy at the moment with GTPSP's interior cam.

Would be good if interiors are somewhat functional.Like opening roof vents in some of the Subaru Imprezas.
