I would have 1 gig, but one of the sticks was D.O.A. :( :indiff:

So only 512 MB. It's actually okay, Linus usually uses only around a quarter of it (unless I'm moving data to external filesystems, then it uses the rest as buffer...)

Gig works nicely for me atm. Looking to get another Gig when i eventually upgrade my PC.

512 Mb is good for standard/medium intensive software and gaming. Gig has always worked nicely for Photoshop stuff but unless you do some gaming that much is probably useless for most people in Windows. 2 Gigs is overkill granted, but well, why not (?)

A gig.

I do a lot of heavy Photoshop crap, certainly likes the RAM. However, for the average user 512MB is plenty sufficient.

I have 512mb. I want to bump up to 2gb, though. Once that's done and and I (somehow) am able to put in a good video card, I'll have Superlaptop. Haha.

I'm ghetto so i took some 512pc 400 ram and put it with some 256 mb pc2700 ram and synched them to = 768 :P

I'm gonna get 2 1gb sticks of some fast ram at least pc3700 next time i upgrade.

Hmm...what would be decent for an Athlon 4000+? PC 3200 Ram or should I go higher? (I'm looking to buy a new computer soon and I really don't know too much about ram)

Oh, at the moment I have 1gb.

I'd put another stick of ram in my pc but it's one of these:

So I don't know how I'm going to open it up and put another stick and a new vid card
I currently have 512mb

DDR400 is the norm at the moment. Although, I heard AMD are set to debut a new socket type which supports DDR2 RAM modules...

512 Mb, and it's plenty for my use of the pc :)

1+ is a necessity
But 4 gig is what should occur because that's what can be paged , this will be my experiment in image / net activity come the new year .

192mb! 64 + 128 S-DRAM
and im actually running xp fine, takes about 20-30 secs for xp to start, not bad.

im saving up for a nice system, and i WILL start out with 1gig of ram.
maybe another gig around late feb?

I'm a bit suprised there aren't more hefty RAM sizes around here. I've got 2gb.

I've got 1 GB PC3200 DDR 400 in my main desktop, 1 GB in my laptop, and 512 MB PC3200 DDR 400 (maybe PC2700 DDR 333, I'm not sure) in my Linux machine.
