Yeah, I'm a NID... After all, I am 18, a year ahead in education, doing Rocket Science for a degree, work as a Programmer/Web Developer/Android app creator, built my own pc, know Star Trek inside out...

Hmmm, maybe not a NID... Just an outright N

I'm more like a N½ID. I display the qualities of a N while sometimes I show my inner stupidity.

And that's the whole point of the thread! First appearance is all fine, and then somebody talks about something techy, and then we show our true innerside.

Lets see, how many members do we have...?

You've joined up to a computer forum to chat and argue about a computer game, or to chat and argue about what car is better, or worse, than other cars. You sir, yes, you, are a nerd. As are we all.

I don't know about the disguise bit.

well put!!!!

I've always wanted to be a nerd. I think I have the capability but grew up in a rough town so had no time for practising my nerd abilities. I think the moderate anonymity of this site allows me to let the inner nerd out a bit.

If anime is included, count me in!

Same here ;)

And I'm a potential N.I.D. I enjoy reading every subject, but the subject I love most is Physics, History, and Mathematics :P I enjoy drawing -- and is my permanent hobby, working on the computer, etc. And for those reasons, I'm mostly quiet & peaceful, and not a super socialist.

I also wear glasses (nearsighted) IRL, but not the style the OP's pic has

If obsessive knowledge of the Fine Arts, and classic Japanese vehicles counts. . .

You might as well count me in.

I'm not sure whether there really are morons who lack intellectual thoughts or fail to think out the best way of solution well suited to the situation(When they are in trouble) on here... But some are extremely critical possessed with some non face-to-face communicative materials such as the PC as far as I know.

But anyone should be crazy in at least one thing we take much interest or preference and I'm not an exception. I'm kind of a nerd in languages, art and some outdoor sports like bicycling, so you can count me in too. :D

I am a NID. Play GT5, like a sloth sleeps. Minecraft, like Forrest Gump Runs. However...

I am a skin and bones blonde guy with hair that flips over my eyebrows and could be qualified as a borderline emo-flap.

Yay!
Extra sentence to make this less useless.
Which is actually quite pointless because you probably wouldn't even realize how pointless this is if it wasn't for these extra sentences. But I conclude

What the hell are you talking about? Forgive for my "swearing" :ouch:

How the second sentence brought to attention how pointless it was, actually opposing the point of itself, which was making the post more useful.
(Told you I'm a nerd)

Oh, touche.

Imagine there's three gears. The first and third gears has a circumference of 10 inches, and the second gear has 15 inches. How many revolutions the first and third gears will create if the second gear is rotating at 1000 RPM?

Ha! Out nerded by Shem. :sly:

I'm not doing the question because I have no need to prove myself

Out-nerded again :dopey:

And I don't even have an answer for that question lol. But I'll just leave it out there then.

To figure out the answer I believe one would have to calculate 1000rpm with an equation of .5 as the middle gears is a half bigger than the 1st and 2nd. You didn't mention how many teeth the gears have which makes it very, very, very hard to work it out.

And 'out nerded' got through my spell check, and, for the record, I'm an English teacher and I say it's OK. :sly: Good try though. ;)

I figured so. And the first and third gear's teeth is 1/3 of the second gear's teeth (35 teeth).

Dang :( But t'was an affordable correction :D

It would be perfectly acceptable to use either. This is the Internet, nobody minds if you "-" something or not. :)
