Hmmmmm.....
I'm not the most patriotic person in the world, and some day I think I'll move to the US or Canada, the UK is really boring but I would miss the football/soccer.

Canada and the States are pretty similar to the U.K. except over here it's like the whole world in one area .......so there's alot of different cultures especially in Toronto and New York
oohh ....that's a pretty tough question .....for me, i'm a city boy ....born in T.O. and now live here again .......grew up in a small town though (Peterborough - 100,000 people) and i can honestly say i enjoy the hustle and bustle of a major city .....(more exciting) ....going to a bar/pub in Peterborough was like don't look at someone the wrong way cause there's a good chance you'll get the **** kicked out of you ......everybody there is trying to prove something like they are a hero or something .......and in Toronto, everybody is really cool and just trying to have a great time ....small towns seem to tend to be more primitive .......but i don't know much about the States ....if you want warm weather all year round i would probably go to somewhere in Florida (although many say it's just a swamp) or perhaps somewhere in California (although it's quite expensive living and much of it may no longer exist in around 20 years ....major eartquakes from continental drift) ..... New York and Toronto are pretty much the same thing it's just that Toronto is less popualted and apparently much cleaner .....David Letterman said "Toronto, a city of 10 million people and no crime." ...i like Toronto b/c you get a perfect balance of the seasons: in summer, it's really hot (we often get 35 degrees Celsius days) and in the winter we get lots of snow to go snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, outdoor ice hockey, snowball fights, etc. ......i like Toronto since my friends and other people have visited various places in the States and say it is really dirty (Detroit, Chicago, Buffalo, especially) ......then's there's Vancouver in Canada and Seattle right below in the States ......these are nice cities from what i've heard and much of the area around Vancouver is a temperate rainforest (not too hot, not too cold) ....Montreal is a great city but majority speak French so that can be a problem ..... i personally like to be near lots of water .....Southern Ontario has a crazy rivers and lakes network which makes it a great area to have a cottage .....i don't really know where you'd like to live ....what are your interests?Originally posted by Brian P
So where would you recommend to move to, if I decide to move??

yeah, major cities are certainly expensive to live in if you want to live in anything decent ....i don't care for apartments either ......Toronto only had like 49 murders in the year 2001 which may sound like alot to you but it is quite phenomenal considering the amount of people here ......I don't know much about Phoenix other than it is in Arizona and is situated in a desert ......the surrounding landscape is sand and cactus' with mostly reptilian organisms ......perhaps it's a booming city right now but i don't know why anyone would live in a desert ......i'm guessing 95% of the people there have a poolOriginally posted by Brian P
Thanks Schumy you sure gave me a lot of information, I live way out in the country in a really small village and I hate it, its way too boring. The nearest town is about 10 miles, and the nearest city which is Newcastle is about 40 miles. I think that I would like to live in a major city, but the trouble is wherever I go I would end up in a cheap apartment until I got a decent job. I'd like to live in a city where there is as little as possible crime but also where there is plenty of jobs and a good mix of things to do. I've heard good things about Pheonix, that it has plenty of jobs and is one of the fastest growing cities in America. As of yet I can't drivebut when I can I'm gonna get a new job and try and save up as much money as possible, and then hopefully I'll be able to move over in my mid-twenties.
