Planning to install windows XP soon:devil:
MY friend's fiancee ended up buying an Audi TT. We picked it up tonight and since I am the only person I know that can drive standard, I was able to drive it home (about an hour of pure heaven.)

Sounds good.

Ya, I figured it was something like that. I don't get into News Groups, spend to much time here. lol:D

It's just a big pain anyway. It is great when I miss some of my favorite Tv shows though, and they put the episodes up.

Ahh done at last.
The Audi TT was cool. I tried to test drive it a few days ago, and couldn't fit behind the wheel, even with the seat all the way back. My friends fiancee ended getting the car, and they asked if I would drive it home. I figured I'd give it a shot, I've driven uncomfortable cars before.
When the salesman realized I was going to be driving, he showed us that the seat in addition to sliding back, had a latch that lowered it another inch and a half, and set it back another inch or so as well. This fit pretty well actually.
I had to really scooch down in the seat, so that I could see though. It has pretty good power, especially when the turbo kicks in. I also noticed that when you are pushing the turbo, the MPG goes down to about 9 or 10.:(
My friend was pushing me, as I need to get a new car, and I figure sometime within the next year. I was thinking SUV, but my friend pointed out that I could get an S4 for the same price. It's just incredibly expensive though. I don't know if it's the same by you, but everyone seems to be buying cars that should be well out of thier price ranges. I realize leasing and financing play a huge roll, but I know a guy who bought the equivelancy in cars, his salary for the year. (2 cars.) I can't see doing that. Maybe I should get a nice honda accord, or a Nissan Maxima. Anyway, that is in the future.

Dude there is NOTHIN better in the world for your money than an Z28, or an SS. If ya can fit, youll be smokin S4's all day, and if you use the money you save to get a vortech supercharger, and a few other mods(chip, etc.), even the most blown civic cant get close. Then, Watch out Vettes and Vipers

I know you're going to hate me for this, but I don't like.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................BMW's.
My friend has had two, and both were "all show, no go"
As for why I like the S4, it's not so much the power, it's all about style, and that car suits me very well. In Silver. I've been down the sports car route before, and I enjoyed it, but as you get older, comfort and being able to fit a few extra people comfortably is a big factor.

Depends which BMW's you're talkin' about though...

An M5 is fast as hell stock, but something like my Dad's 328i is ungodly slow...

What kinda Bimmers did your friend have? An Isetta and a 318ti?

Sorry, saw the Z and thought BMW (plus your name.) Probably should have read more.
I wouldn't touch a new camaro though. It's too common in my area. Mustang is pretty well saturated too. Not much style in those cars anymore, with the exception of whats under the hood. When you get to the Marrying age, women don't ooo and aaa over those anymore, all they think about is how you must be compensating for other shortcommings. (not you personally, I'm speaking generally)
I don't know if you drive yet, but if you do, test drive a few american cars, and then a few foriegn cars (German and Japanese mostly) and see which one you actually like to be inside more.

Yeah it's an auto...:(

It's still a really nice car though...

It has the Sport Package. I'm not sure exactly what the difference between normal & sport package is though...

Yeah, I guess so ;)

It's actually a very nice car IMO. I've never sat in a more comfortable car..., but then again I haven't sat in very many different of cars:D

oh, I know Germans are better drivers, but I have a truck(silverado) Its a real truck, not a japanese wanna be. Sorry, but what do they know about makin trucks in their compact city/street/car country, its the simple truth. My 1990 Silverado w/TBI 350can do pelnty an iForce V-8 Tundra cant, like go fast/,o a burnout, and sound like Awesome all at the same time. not sure, but the stock 0-60 is as fast as a Tundra But its just hair off(A planned $300 buck will easily fiix that:D). And considering its at least 9 years older tahn any Tundra, thats shows how far the Japanese really are in Trucks. But for cars, the japanese know what their doing, and they might be more refined, but if your a car guy, no matter what country of cars you like, you HAVE to admit, American Cars are set the Standard for the world staring in th early 1900's, and nothing can equal the sound of an American V-8, its all its own, along with the thrust, power, and feel. Sort of like a Ferrari cant be compared to anything, its all its own.

I grew up around Classic American Iron. 1970 Olds 442, 1969 Camaro Indy Pace Car,1967 Mustang Fastback(most beautiful car we ever had, I've never seen better, even at car shows) 76 Vette, And even Foregin classics:BMW 2002(the car that "made" BMW), MG midget, I was brought home form the hospital in a Trimuph Spitfire.

My dad used to buy and sell Classics.

Sooo alone..
