"We've taken a lot of precautions to keep from doing that again. I'm also going to give the motor a much longer break-in period. The cause was running too lean, 17:1 to be exact. The wrong fuel was put in my car at the track. This caused my car to run quite a bit leaner, which made more power, which made the boost go off the edge of the 3-bar MAP sensor and the ECU supplied a default fuel value which was too low.

Now we have 5-bar MAP sensor, FJO mounted LED, and resetting the default value in the AEM.

Yeah. It's from Chris Bergerman's T-78. It's focking insanely badass. I believe I have a video of him racing a BPU SUpra.:drool: The BPU pulls for a sec due to way less turbo lag, but once Chris's T-78 spooled up...God damn...it was over...

I think I remember reading somewhere on SF.com that 1 bar was like 14.7psi...or 17.something...not sure.

It was Chris in a white Supra with a huge T-78 single turbo(approx. 783hp) vs. his buddies Supra(approx. 420hp).

speaking of fast cars, the goddamn 4 door Civic's in the 10s now... he finally opened up the hood on that thing.

we were all expecting something straight out of Lisa Kubo's Civic, turns out it's ghetto as hell!

the guy's running 10s with less work on the engine than i have in my car! :eek:
 
Chris Bergemann's 95 Supra has a GReddy T-78 turbo, HKS racing BOV, GReddy 4-row FMIC, Powerhouse Stage 2 Fuel system, AEM ECU, GReddy Exhaust, HKS Shorty and a WOTM Bronze Clutch. His best dyno is 783rwhp. Here's a 767 rwhp sheet. He was also the fastest BPU (without NOS) Supra in the world, with a best run of 11.42 @ 123mph. Here's a video clip of a 11.62 @ 123.4mph run. Here's another video of a 11.63 @ 123mph run. Don't see anything about pistons.:D

Not a dirty ass engine/bay, perhaps a bigger turbo...or a more visible turbo, and more **** than some header, cone filter, blue anodized oil cap, and some damn steel braded hoses.:reallyodd I mean, come on, it's a 10 second FWD civic with 19's or so on the back...I'd expect to see a lot more than what I'd see under some kid's hood on the local street strip...
 
i heard he's running a 150 shot of nitrous... the engine's all built internally, though.

Earlier when you said "less engine work than my car" I figured maybe he just had a beefed up motor running as much nitrous as posible.:lol:
