Try hitting "Get new list" That just added 300 servers to mine.

No, mine says like 500 now. What is your PC setup, in the internet area? Lan card, Modems, Routers etc. Also, what windows are you running?

As for other stuff, what kind of modem do you have, and is it connected directly to the back of the computer, or is it hooken to a lan and split between several PC's?

ok. I have a cable modem, and i dont have several pc's, so i guess it's hooked to the back of my comp. That good enuf?? Just ask if you need more info

In the game, choose options where you pick your graphic settings, and click Misc at the top. Set your modem speed.

If that doesn't work, click tools on your browser (or go into your control panel through the start menu) and pick Internet options. go to the security tab, and set it to low (mine is on medium) that might clear up problems with gettiing data packets.
If that doesn't work, close out programs in the lower right corner, where the clock is. Gamespy might screw it up, antivirus software might do it, etc. Anything that might block data is suspect.
