Ahh, ok. I thought I read mention of SNOW and I was going to shiot myself. Actually, we had about 3 inches of snow a couple of days ago in the park which really helped slow down the fires so that was good.

Do you know of any codec converters that will export a *.avi file to a *.mov (quicktime) file? Perferably one that's shareware or free. I'm having a hell of time finding one.

Yes, indeed. Having a hellava time. I can go from avi to mpeg, but I need to chop and crop, before converting, that's why I need quicktime format to import into my program that supports quicktime, but not avi files.

I'm working on the Escudo flip, but the file is just too BIG as it sits now....

Now here's a question maybe you can answer.
I have a linksys router, which sets up a static IP address. I occasionally wish to set my comp up as an FTP (maybe have it going all the time) Unfortunately the FTP software needs a dynamic IP address (the linksys is the same for every router) Is there a way around this? Currently my method is to hook my comp straight to the cable modem, bypassing the router, but that kills my second PC's internet access. It's also a pain to get both reconfigured again.

I dunno if you've seen any of the vids that I've made, but my original files are .mpg, and I use FlaskMPEG to convert to just about any other prog. It's free, and it does cropping too

I took the liberty of uploading it to my @Home server for ya (it's 812KB)

It's a self-extracting .exe file (hope ya don't mind).. I'll make it a zip/rar or something if you want..

It does take a while to get used to the cropping bit, but once ya get the hang of it, it's damn sweet.
