Hey y'all.. I'm just dropping in quickly to say hello before I go spend time with my brother and his family. I was supposed to be at work this morning at 5:45, but I didn't wake up until an hour later (it's b/c I was up late chatting with some of you.. it's YOUR fault.. lol j/k). So, I had to work from 7:15am-4:30pm, came home and cleaned the *whole* house b/c it was an absolute wreck. I'm off to take a shower now.. have a good night, everyone :)

GUYS! PC emergency! I just add 256MB of memory, now have a total of 384MB, but with my regular assortment of programs open, it says I'm using 30% system resources. It says I have 384 now, but appearently, its only USING 128MB. I'm gonns run ADD NEW HARDWARE to see if it fixes the problem, if it dosn't you guys got any ideas?, be back in 5

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH>

STILL GETTIN MUTTON! It recognizes the memory! MAybe I've got the worng idea for what this is supposed to do.

Wow sounds like a big problem. Wish I could help but I've never had anything like that happen. I'm running 128MB. I really would like to bump it up to 256 soon.

I'm caomarping the numbers with the same amount of programs. I figured by tripliing my memnory, I'd gain about 10-20% ?On my system resources. The wierd thing is it recognizes the memory. T=his is the email I just sent PNY:

In Properties, its says I'm running 384MB(I bought a 256MB card, and my original was 128MB), but running my usual programs, I'm still using the same amount of resources, in not more, which seems to be the case. IT apparently recognized the memory cards w/o any problems, imeadiately stating 384 MB, and I tried the Add new hardware programs anyway, but it said there is no new hardware. I rebooted just in case, but still, its using the same amount of system resources. What do I do? The only program that seems any faster is my IP load up.

I'm not really sure there is a problem. The mem is going to allow you to run more programs at once with out going to the swap file on the hard drive. Freeing up systems resorces is by shutting down running programs in the background.
