wow.. thanks guys... CONTINUE SENDING UR INFO!... i'm gonna get an average and design a gaming unit that can be transported easily and is compact when folded up. i go to the college for creative studies in detroit, michigan usa and thought this might be a fun project to design.
However, I had all of the stuff before I bought GT4, except the cockpit, DFP, and the game itself. So you could say it costed $320 for the game and the stuff with it.
wow, I see alot of high numbers. think about how much will be for us to play GT5 in the future. I heard the retail price for PS3 alone is somewhere around $500.00 (US$) Good luck, I better start saving $$ now.
45.00$ game
140.00$ DFP
25.00$ (?) Miata seat
5.00$ miscellanous electrical parts for my home made cockpit:
TV, PS2 and memory card already bought when GT4 came out!
The material (steel tubing, wood, etc.) for the cockpit was found in the street (actually crazy what stuff people throw outside!). Crazy consumerism society...
Game $50
Already had a DF wheel $0
Play on my 22 inch Sony Vega TV that I've had for years $0
Use my old desk (with the pullout writing area) and desk chair as a stable platform $0
Still playing with my original PS2 from 3 years ago $0
Lots of enjoyment for a total of $50 (way less than a $1 an hour already...)
Thinking of upgrading the TV to HDTV, but that is not just for GT4...
