I panicked when I made the mistake of buying the GT40 for 10 mil and had to get the money back ASAP, so I started grinding the Eifel kart track which has the most money/minute. Super boring, but did get the 10 mil back in a few days (a few hours of playing the track).

How much have you played the track, approx time and money earned? I'm at somewhere near 20 mil I think..

Let me get this straight, you bought a car, then grinded 3 days straight to pay it off. Did you grind in the car?

I prefer grinding the Eifel Supercar Circuit, it pays 490K for 5:00 minutes of sheer enjoyment out of experimenting with all my racecars have to offer. even at 163K, it is worth it to me.

i think i've made 30-35 million Cr. off of grinding the light weight K cup. now it's too boring and i'm too lazy, so i stopped. i should get going again so i can buy the gt 40, f2007, and finish up my le man collection... but it's really boring.

I made a huge mistake, read the thread about the Ford Mark IV, and so I went and bought the GT40, thinking that was it:banghead:.

Too much lol, since the update ive raced the supercar eifel event enough times to get thr following F2007, F10, 330p, roughly 6 le mans cars costing between 500,000 - 5mil

I've been running the 490k race like religion the last week. Collected boucou dollars and having a blast with the track, and I've tried the Dodge Viper GTRS (#91) and Gran Turismo Ford GT. I am completely content running this track and laying down the best lap times I can possibly squeeze out of the cars with different setups.

The Tous France seasonal at LeMans is a lot more fun than the K-Car Eifel kart, and almost as lucrative (just 1 lap, can do it in ~4:30 for 350K).

I've also started grinding the Civic races...not as much $$ but the helmets and suits are addictive. :p

While it is one of the boring races, the pay outs have afforded me a nice collection of race cars(multiple mixed colors of same cars, still looking for the elusive red Audi R-8 LMP) that I've either not had $$ for or just didnt pop in the UCD somewhere in the 15-20 million range since the reset and about the same prior when it was 101K..

I must have run that race 50 times, usually finishing 2nd or 3rd.

I can't bring myself to just use an overpowered car and kill everyone, as I usually prefer some kind of challenge. But 25 second place finishes sure feels dumb now. (I am starting to play around with a super upgraded Daihatsu pickup, and that is fun even when laying a beating on them.)

I also prefer Eifel Supercar, as the ratio of racing to loading screen is higher, and I get to try a whole bunch of cars from my garage (and I win it more often). Also, I usually see a car I want in the UCD and want the money in less races (days) rather than less real time.

Zero.
I let the b-spec grinder do all my grinding. Why waste time doing races you don't enjoy? I prefer practicing for my weekly online race league instead.

Lol I hate it, but I play it non stop. Its the most boring thing ever. I used to try and beat my time and tune cars for it but now I tried them and found the fastest and wen the fattest I can go.

400-500+ miles I guess. Moved on to the Supercar Seasonal now though...

{Cy}

I too have moved on to the supercars. Mainly the 490,500 Cr one on Eifel. It was a lot less tiring not having to race slowly over and over.. I'm now at 20mil and will finally be able to get the proper Ford, if that'll be my choice :)

Kinda hurts to go from 20mil to 0 though, not sure if I want to :P

Just enough to buy a new X1. about $16 mil. Sorry, kart no; supercar only.

done the race around 120 times now and still more to go... this equals to around Cr.36,000,000 lol - even I was surprised...

Well, I never grind only one race! Now, with the triple payout, all seasonals pay off well and I just start with the first and work myself through all seasonals! This way, I drive many different cars and it doesn't get boring that fast... 👍👍👍

I've gotten the 1000 ticket 3 or 4 times already running this race!! LOL
Just trying to complete my car collection and they are all expensive dangit :ouch:

If the point is to grind and get money, why risk losing? I put rs tires on my suzuki alto works to get it done asap.

Enough to buy all the OCD cars I didn't have ($9 million) and around $15 million worth of grinding apart from that.

I usually do it from 2:55-3:00 each race.

I have been grinding Civic Trophy on Deepforrest, nice track, many different civics to choose from and helmets to win. It may not be as effective, but learning the perfect line and driving near perfect laptimes is fun, even after the 100th race. Thats what makes the GT series awesome, driving and perfecting the laptimes makes fun, no matter how often you drive the same car and the same track.

And it was interesting to see how much performence the newly bought civic gains while driving it. I had to reduce the power several times to keep it within the pp limit. I know using a 450pp car against those other civics is no challenge, but iam racing for the laptimes in this case.

This thread so thoroughly illustrates one of the biggest problems with this game...

Does it? In Forza 3 I spent a considerable amount of time grinding endurance races, never made anything close to enough cash to buy all the cars I wanted (never did get round to buying the 911 GT1 Strassenversion), then got bored. In GT5P, I was doing endless laps of Daytona. GT4 had the DTM championship on B-Spec mode. However, with GT5, I've grinded the 5 lap race at Indy loads, but after I got bored of that I found B-Spec's DCC to be quite a good earner. Then the multi-million reward seasonals came around, then the current crop of fairly high reward races that allow me to try a variety of cars and tracks for similar pay. Now all of those rewards are tripled, and that's not to mention the fact that Bobs can earn me money for no effort at all.

So yeah, grinding is boring, but it's not a unique problem and at least GT5 has given us a number of ways to do it, and will probably continue to do so.
