Ever since the update, it's been stuck at 7:D

Best thing is that it finally allowed me to GOLD the Vettel Challenge:)

I'm usually very agressive on the controls, putting in rapid left-right movements during my hotlaps.

i keep it on 5 for nearly all the cars i drive! must admit it does make a massive difference to a car that 'didnt feel right'!!

+7 for most of my cars, it is so much better. The only exceptions are the Red Bull X2010s and the Ferrari F2007 and F10 - for these I use +5.

i use 7 sensitivity.

makes a big difference when trying to chase down the best of the best in seasonal TT. before PD implemented the new steering sensitivity it felt like only a fool would dream to compete with a wheel driver with a DS3.

now im in the hunt for top ten always if i put in the effort and thinking i could even win. not impossible and dont have to cheat to do it either.

that 7 sensitivity made a massive difference to me.

Oh man, I thought the higher the sensitivity the better for drifting. Oh well, doesn't matter much to me really. I put it on 4, sometimes 3. Putting it too high, which I kind of have it high, seems like a cheat. I know it isn't but it kind of is. In that case though, using a DS3 is cheating, which is silly.

Since I use a steering wheel, also, I'd like to know what's the highest the sensitivity should be to match the fastest a person can turn the steering wheel without it being unrealistic. Anybody have an idea? I'm not sure if 4 is too high, though it doesn't seem like it.

i use +2 since i usually dont even have to use the analog sticks to their best potential (i hardly move it left/right at all xD) but since everybody seems to be doing fairly well with +7 ill have to try it ^_^

do the wheels in the game react at the same speed as the ds3? the sensitivity changes how fast it can turn the wheels but surely theres a limit that would be arount the same as using the wheel?

So you are only 50% Cheating whit DS3  .

Arent Race Cars equiped whit faster more tight steering?
Cant imagine them needing to turn +180Degrees TO LEFT OR RIGHT for tight corners. Thats just silly. (Maybe it is i dont know But they should change it like 75degrees each way :p )

And i remember someone who had a Fiat Punto with a button to set the power steering faster or more direct or something? was he making stuff up ?

No, I had one just like that, it has a button call "city" who turns the steering a lot "lighter" and the throtle less responsive, for city driving.

-2

Believe it or not I use the directional buttons, I did not try the higher settings but did compare it with 0 at the time, it seemed to suit me so I left it as it is.

I do use the stick for drifting, and switch to the stick for certain corners (Curva Grande at Monza), I've used it in endurance races too. Although I'm getting a little more used to it, I don't feel like I can drive with any real conviction with the stick, with how I use my forefingers for the gears it just feels really "loose". There's no way I could race online with them.

Damn it. You didn't answer my serious question. You partly answered it though. And I wasn't serious about the cheating part. Using a DS3 isn't using a steering wheel so everybody's cheated. That's a stupid statement so I thought it was obvious i was being :dopey: intentionally.

tried to race with +7 and i hated it. dont know how other people can use it, when i tried it was like when you try to get ketchup from the bottle.
when i start to steer nothing happens at first, so i steer a bit more and then all of a sudden i get alot of steering really fast and i wasnt prepared for it to come that fast so i almost spun out:irked:

Used to use 4 for regular cars and 5 for X2010 but then i got lazy changing it and i now use 5 for all. Wonder if anyone uses negative values.....

how much steering sensitivity do you normally use? i change mine all the time, depending on which car and track im racing.

This is what I do, too! But I mostly use 1 or lower, 2, and 3 Controller Sensitivities -- 1 or lower for F1/oversteer-prone cars, 2 for nearly every car, and 3 for understeer-prone cars.

I rarely go outside of -2 to 2. (DS3)

Since so many here are using 5 or over, I will have to do some more at length experimentation.

I use +3.
At first I didn´t bother to change the sensivity at all. But than I tried +1 and it was a better feeling.
After that I made it up to +7 => undrivable for me.

At some point the standard setting went up to +3 (I didn´t change it to that value) and now I stick to it.
For me it´s the perfect setting.

When the sensitivity update first came out all I had been driving was the F2007 battling to gold all the Ferrari F1 Seasonals. Immediately I moved it to +7, but it was too much. I raced on +4 for a while and I noticed it was much better. After getting used to +4 I moved it up to +7 and it was even better. I got gold on all the F1 races and I finally went back and golded the FGT Championship as well. I've only used +7 since...It's still not as sensitive as a good wheel, but it's a lot closer. Using less sensitivity is almost like tuning your car to understeer.
