How Old are you and how long you been playing GT?

Is it bad I still have that old grey thing....the one before PSone...I just relaized that every PS system ever has a slim model....in order:


PlayStation
PSone (essentially slim version of PS)
PlayStation 2
PS2 Slim
PlayStation 3
PS3 Slim...

so true friend, and notice how the slim version almost always performs better or has something about it that makes it worth getting... wonder why they dont just make the slim/v2 version in the first place lol.

16 and I started with GT3. I remember racing my dad all day and it was actually a competition back then. He can sort of still keep up with me on the real track but in the virtual world... lets just say he ends up a few more laps down there.:)

Since most people here have owned all GT games,what about tourist trophy? any gt followers pick that up ?

Played that for a little while actually. More entertaining than I first thought it would be. 👍👍

Hi everyone. Newbies to both GT5 and the forum. Been playing for 3 weeks now and both hooked!

Oh, I'm a 50 year old grandmother and my partner is 55.:)
 
I'm 23 and have been playing GT since GT1 back in the late 90's. However I have been racing it competitively since GT3 in 2004.
 
Im 19 now and I've been playing GT since i was 6 when GT1 came out :p
 
39 and I had GT1 + 2 but then had a break then rediscovered GT5 when i got the ps3 and have never looked back.

I'm 15 today and I was 3 when I started playing GT2. I had my uncle do some races in a cheap RX-7 so I could buy the Civic Ferio. I was mad about that car :lol:
 
41 and played it for about 3 months.
 
28, I've played GT1 (mostly playin arcade/and 2 player battle with my cousin), GT2 (same as GT1), GT3 (played season mode up to the endurance before I broke out that gameshark) ,GT4 (just did a few lics test, plus the game wasn't mine) , GT5P (not so much, I got it back in Febuary of 2010 ), GT5 (the only GT title i've played daily since launch) I just gotta thank the guys @ Turn10 for Forza Motorsport 2, if it was for that game I wouldn't have gotten into these genre of racing games or gain any understanding of motor racing ie chicane, apex, clipping point, oversteer understeer ect....
 
I'm 27. I played since the beginning of GT on PSX.

Worth mentioning is that I've never owned GT 2 or GT 4

Who could have thought that Mitsubishi GTO Twin turbo and a skyline could be 2 of the best cars in the game once? Both between 900-1000 BHP i belive and the skyline didn't under steer one bit.

i am 38 and played all gt games apart from psp and prolouge, still remember running the wall in GT1 in a purple skyline so much quicker back then lol
 
I'm 28 been playing GT since the 1st one in PS1, havent played the one in PSP or prologue
 
I started playing Gran Turismo when I was 5 years old when my dad bought me the game and a steering wheel for PS1. My favorite cars were Supra and the 3000GT (GTO). Now I am 19, owned all the games in the main series.
 
I am 19 now and start to play GT4 around 2006-07
 
36. Playing gt5 since apr this yr (5 mths.) First driving game and still learning. Trolling gtp daily to share experience especially for noobs like myself.
 
i'm 14 now and was playing GT3 when i was around 5.
 
I'm 18 and I've been playing GT since GT1.
Here's a little story I'd like to share:
Back in 2002 after I had a surgery (having my appendix removed) my mum rented me a PS1 with some racing games. One of those games was Gran Turismo 2.
I recovered and got a PS1 soon after and I was going to buy GT2 for myself but the girl at the store sold me Gran Turismo 1 instead.
Nevertheless I kept GT1 and needless to say - I got hooked so I bought Gran Turismo 2 shortly after that.
I enjoyed GT2 and became a fan of the series.
I played GT1 and 2 for a lot untill my youger brother spilled apple juice on all my discs - ruining many games including Gran Turismo 1...and as for Gran Turismo 2 - I tuned my Plymouth Cuda and was going to race in Seattle but the game froze at the loading screen - so I took the disc out and threw it against the table 2 times, it broke in half...
I didn't have PlayStation 2 so I never got to try GT3 and GT4 out but I got a PS3 just because of MGS4 and GT5.
GT5 isn't perfect but it's the best game for me - I'm enjoying it ever since I got it.
 
I'm 22 and have been playing/obeying Gran Turismo since GT1. I now have an emulator for GT1 & 2 that brings back memories, especially the dealerships music 💡
 
I'm 31...

I played Forza 1 , 2 and 3 then last Januari i switched sides for GT5
( also , microsoft makes a crappy console ;-) )

I've got it too, did finish the game too.
 
I'm 65 and started playing GT5 about 4 months ago...I'm addicted..
I'm probably not in any danger of setting any fastest lap times but I love this game.
 
age 38 Playing GT since the first game and still own 1-5 including concept and Tourist Trophy. Would love it if they made a new TT, Were bikes not shown in the old GT-HD promos?
