How old will you be when Gran Turismo 5 is expected to release?

I will be 36, nearly 37 by the time this comes out. I'll probably get 12-18 months serious play until her indoors wants kids!!
 
I'm sure it's already been commented on, but it seems to me that the most likely explaination for the delay of GT5 and these "production issues" is a shortage of PS3 stock and I would imagine that the "production issues" are nothing to do with the game, more the PS3 itself. Consider GofW3 and Heavy Rain releasing as well. I'm hopeful of a release soon, once PS3 stock recovers.

At least I can take solace in the fact that I'm fairly certain it won't be any longer, I have contacts at EA (through drifting) who deal with all the promo for everything 'need for speed' related etc. and they have told me that their spies within GT (read employees of PD) are CERTAIN it will be released within the next 9 months. I know there is a lot of speculation going around, but these guys have NEVER given me wrong info before, so fingers crossed they are right when it really matters :D

I remember playing GT3 with my dad every day! Ah, what memories!
 
My first memory of GT goes back to when I was about 9 or 10. I thought it was the best looking game ever. And even though the pixels shifted like mad men, it was just so epic. The first track I got to know was Special State Route 5, I think. Oh, and Trial Mountain. And the first cars I remember well were the Z28 Camaro and the Nissan R32 Skyline.
 
Wow, do i feel old or what? I was 20 when GT came out, I remember my sister coming to stay and not getting a word out of me for days as I battled with the licence tests. I do hope I´ll only be 33 when GT5 comes out, I hope even more that its out before August 22nd as that´s the day my first child is due, I´m not sure how much playing time I´ll be getting after that!

Wow... lol. Interesting. I never played GT games before 5 Prologue, but I did play GT3 and GT4 every now and then as a rental from Blockbuster, but I was so little I didn't even know what to do.

If the exponential rate of time it takes to develop holds true for GT6, I'll be around 27 when that releases.
 
38 yrs old if GT5 released from July 2010 to July 2011

37 yrs old if GT5 released before July 2010, but the chances are higher that I'll see the second coming of Christ before then.

I've just been thinking what has happened since I first played Grand Turismo back in '97. In that time I have:

- Had eight jobs, two of which I worked in for 5 years or more.
- My pay has gone from $4.34/hr to over $40/hr
- Bought two houses
- moved cities twice
- visited 5 countries
- bought 15 cars (and sold 12)
- got engaged, then married


Kind of scary to think that the GT series has been with me through all of that...

Wow, mine's a similar story.. GT has been with me for 13 years - here's what happened in that time..
- 4 Jobs
- Pay from £4.50/hr to £74/hr (hell, I genuinely havent broken it down to an hourly rate recently... I get paid well to browse the internet)
- Bought one house
- Lived in two different english counties (lincolnshire/yorkshire)
- Visited 9 countries
- Bought 5 cars (now have my childhood dream car )
- Married
- 1st Child in 2009
- Driven on the Nurburgring Nordschliefe 3 times


GT1 - 17
GT2 - 19
GT3 - 21
GT4 - 25
GT5 - 30 (If released after August)

And all I've ever wanted was an easy way to play GT over the internet with my friends..

And soon my wishes will come true!!!!
 
We have 14 year olds and a man in his 60's. That's awesome. Shows you how cars can connect people from all ages.
