How stingy are you with your credits?

Right. I think you only need 2. The starting car and a pickup. That's all I bought for the cafés
If you're playing on easy I don't think you need any cars or even tuning, for my skill set I needed all the help from a nicely tuned car as I could possibly get, on hard difficulty. The difference between easy and hard is huge (at least for me).

I bought 3 cars while doing the café (could have managed with 1 or 2) and spoiled me with a Porsche 919 after getting a 500k ticket prize.
How the hell did you get an 500k prize? All I'm getting is 5 and 10k all the freaking time. Even from 4 star tickets.

I totally forgot there is even a difficulty setting in the game, can you even chnage it after the fact, or you are stuck with your choice forever?

As far as I know you can change it anytime you want, and it won't affect the credit amount you get, at least for cafe missions.

Nah I played on hard

And to make it worse, it was with a 3 stars ticket

But most of the time I get the lamest prize on the roulette, like those f-ed-up invitations. Tonight was an exception, as I got a Crown Safety car with a 4 stars ticket. Meh... always better than the invitation next to it.

Has it been documented that cars get dirty over time? I have 500 miles on my C3 Corvette, never did a single wash, and it still looks factory clean.
I have 1.2k km on my Focus Gr.B, all done on Fisherman's Ranch. No sign of dirt either. It's so weird.

(By the way, nice avatar. Is there a full sized version of it you can send or direct me to?)

I have bought 15 cars but I have 90 in my garage.

Cr Spent on Cars:
1.6million

Customization:
884k

Tuning:
3.3million

Collection Progress:
21%

Total Cr Acquired:
8.1million

I wouldn't say I'm stingy. I've bought two Legendary cars and several from the used car dealer as well as brand new. I also spent a lot on tuning and customization. .....bought lots of paint too. I currently have about 1.7million Cr.

Typically, I spend in chunks and try to recoup some, all or more than I spent before I do it over again.

.....btw, 75 of those 90 cars I own were gift cars. Most of which I have yet to drive let alone modify or set up.

I think I’ve only spent around ~700k credits. ~300k on upgrades and mods and ~400k on the UCD Murcielago.

The game design has made me want to hold on to my credits because it takes so long doing things I’d prefer not to do to get them back. It’s really, really bad, and I hope the feedback they’ve gotten since the 1.07/1.08 fiasco will force their hands within the next month or two. It makes no sense to have to “work” (almost literally) 5-20 hours just to afford something that might give you maybe 1-3 hours of playtime you actually wanted to have in return. It’s really, really bad game design. It also doesn’t help that I can’t find the cars the want to buy due to the inventory cycling only 3-5 cars daily. I didn’t get to start the game until after the Celica left the UCD and I have no clue when it’ll be back.

The silver lining is my preferred play style is to take an extremely cheap/slow car and slowly upgrade and tune it’s handling until it’s just competitive enough to beat a specific event. I get a lot of seat time and build the car up to my liking. For example, I took the Suzuki Swift into the Asia Oceana championship, limited myself to Sports level tires, kept the HP to under 200, and it’s become one of my favorite cars in my garage now. My next project is the old Fiat 500, which I’ll be slowly building towards a 600pp entry recommendation.

Well, got everything that showed up older then 2001, except F1 GTR and 917k... And honestly won't grind for them until PD fixes game economy..

When the game first started i was not stingy with credits at all,but after doing all 39 menu's s*** got real, did the dirt thing once, nope not for me,settled in at 600k an hour, then 630k/hour, now at 750k/hour, gonna have to slowly progress until better payouts happen, then some serious grinding might be done.
But it will take years to cycle through ,picking off one high priced car after another....

I puy 1500km in a single race in my ZL1 and didn't notice any dirt or dust whatsoever as well.
So I guess the only other question is what cleaning even does? I thought it made the car a bit shinier temporarily but that might just be placebo from trying to find any effect at all.

Lol, i used to wash every car i gave an oil change because i thought the car looked a little sharper in my mind, but after doing an hour or more driving at Trail Mountain Cup and looking at the back of my black Corvette with the PS5 on a 49' TV 3 feet from face in 4k and on lap 1 ,race 2, the image on the back trunk area of the sun and orange sunset is absolutely crystal clear,...my car isn't dirty at all....😂

There is a dumb trophy if you wash 10 times. Dumber if you buy 10 times the same car. Another one if you buy 10 turbos. Silly trophies that serves no purpose except getting rid of slowly earnt credits

I'm quite stingy with my credits in GT games when i start to get below a million cr. It just seems like a good plateau number to try maintain for some reason, but GT7 i've been stingier than ever - i think twice before modifying any car and i've only bought one car (an EVO, from the used car lot) so far because not sure of what cars i'll get through game progression (i'm avoiding looking at prize car lists etc).

Very! I try to save as much as possible to buy the Alfa 155. Solely saving up for that purpose, not buying any car aside from the Fit.

Yesterday I took out the calculator to see how much would it cost me to make a E30 Touring Car replica for the 550PP European FR cup.

Honestly it gets ridiculous. I get that cars might have a high price so people "value" them, and if it were just the cars I'd be fine with it. But upgrades and GT Auto stuff also cost a bit too much, so can't buy fast cars or make the ones you have faster.

I’ll buy anything I don’t already own in UCD, anything 1m and under from legends and I try and acquire a different manufactures Gr3 and 4 lineup each day, if I can I like to leave it with a credit balance of around 2m

What are you doing for money? Just finished the cafe campaign.

I'm holding onto roughly 2 million credits minimum at all times so when finally my dear alfa 155 shows up I can buy it!

God knows when that will be with the way rare cars are made available in this game lol

Not stingy, I spend credits as fast as I can make them!
I've simply got to have every pre-2001 car in the UCD, and so far I haven't missed any except the Countach 25th and 911 Carrera RS CS. I have also bought ten 60s Mini Coopers for the trophy and as an investment for the future (there's got to be at least three engines I can put in)
For reference, I have won 500k and 1M from 6 star tickets.

The more I get credits, the more I get stingy. Just won another 500k after grinding 500k.i could buy the Stratos but it feels hard to spend 500k lol

Eh, I’m solely a drifter so…

So far i've earned 11m credits, and i have 100k in my account.
So spending spree lol

3.6m on cars
664K on mods
4.5m on tuning

I tend to "buy everything" without too much of a focus on the super expensive Legendary cars yet. I'll eventually get them, but I have my go to cars that I try to perfect for my driving style and then move on to the next.

I spend credits on the cars and tuning I desire as they become available. Not terribly interested in many of the new cars and especially not the GR cars which saves a lot. And despite having plenty of credits(tomahawk & afk), I still carefully consider my legendary purchases. I am currently in a comfortable place to just purchase, race and tune wherever my interest takes me.
