How do pepole do it? When I try to do that, I do 180, and turn back.
I wana do this!

But I get 180 and turn back the way I went in.
Do I need H-brake or do I need to slam it, and wich way do I turn the wheel?

A few days ago you were worrying about not being able to drift full stop. Don't try and jump to 360ing straight away, to be honest it's not that impressive anymore anyway.

Cut him some slack, if his profile name is any indicator, he's 12-13yrs old, let him indulge in the flashier things, eventually he'll realize that such things aren't as fulfilling as perfecting an ideal line or door to door tandem, or maybe he has aspirations to be a stunt driver, a Ken Block in the making..

You just have to turn in the right direction at the right time. Practice makes perfect, it isn't that complicated.

Edit: practice J-turns or 180s first, after that a 360 shouldn't prove to be too difficult.

Check if you have any assists on. Doing a 360 is easy.

Hard is figuring what gear is perfect to fit after you finish the 360 and place the trick in the exactly timming of the corner´s starts.

Its not hard at all, but sometimes i screw myself when i recover too lately.

Anyways, at online drifting the 360 is not indicated, because your partner will see your car lagging and glitching most of times you try it. Sometimes he will even not understand that ur doing a 360, unless he looks your dot in the map.

Its not hard, once you've done 180 degrees, turn the wheels the other way, then once you've done the next 180 degrees, repeat. Then when you want to get out of it, just don't turn the wheels, keep them the direction they're in.

Damnnn I am using a G27:scared:
Lol, alot of wheel turning..

You shouldn't actually need to turn the wheel that much. Once you reach nearly the middle point of the 360, almost facing backwards, let off the throttle completely and toss the steering wheel in the direction the car is spinning ("toss" as in give it a push and let go of it completely). If you time it right, just as you pass the halfway point of the 360 the wheel should quickly spin around the other direction on its own. Catch it before it rebounds, and get back on the throttle again. Now smoothly unwind the steering wheel as the car comes around to the direction you'd like to exit in.

People watching drifters always walk away feeling like they were working the steering wheel like nobody's business. Most people don't realize that it's the steering wheel that works you, not the other way around. If it were a waltz, the steering wheel would be leading and you'd be following. Yes, that places you in the feminine role, deal with it. Your feet are mashing on all 3 pedals like a man possessed, so that should console you.

Best description of wheel work I've heard in awhile, my only disagreement is the pedal count...I'm stuck w/ a DFGT...LOL

^This^. I let the FFB do all the work. It's get the car sideways and let the steering wheel go then grab the steering wheel when wheels are turned in the right dicerition (you can only get this with practise). As for the 360 do a 180 then let the steering wheel go and then grab it while it's facing the other way. To pull ot straighten up at the right time.

C'mon guys, really? He just wants to drift... not everyone online is a pro irl, some are delivery drivers, mail men, dropouts/pot heads, college students, Dr's, and yes... even strippers.

But he said he was a drifter IRL?

He's a drifter IRL and owns a Z4 like his ingame car, he should know how to 360 (usually learn how to do that trying to do something else, like how man cured various diseases searching for viagra).

Ahh, but you see in real life drifters don't practice 360's as most likely if you screw up your totalled.

That's another thing I hate about the game is the lack of a 3rd dimension, as in flipping, if you hit a huge rut or curb going sideways sucks. often resulting in a broken axle and quite possibly rolling over, and especially a truck or samba bus, when it unloads the suspension irl. Although it is possible to flip it's extremely difficult, I have physically seen people drop off edges and go end over end irl, and force biking is practically impossibe, all though i have done it, partly because I was basically the king of it irl in portland at the QMA track a long time ago

There's just a lack of curbs to be hitting in GT5.. they didn't make a lot of terrain. It's kinda sad :( it does make it feel very arcade-ish.

There are plenty of vids on youtube, but for drop offs, find a track that has a lip before the grass, and you'l just glide right over it, and it actually takes a lot more effort in the game to roll over than irl, but that's kind of expected

No meaning I wanna see him IRL proof?
