How to change chat text?

Anyone know how to change the text in the chat when you're matched up for a Sport Mode race? The standard one is 'Hi' but I notice people have custom presets and not aware how to change that.

I think you need to click on the GT logo on the top left of the main screen and then the top left gear icon.

yes, on the home page, click on the GT logo on the top left
then click on the top left icon end write what you want
