Hi all.

How can i get in a easy Way videos of GT 5?
Its not like in skate3 where i can easy set up a movie in game. So how can i do it in GT5?
Any tutorials out there?

thnx for your help

Greez from Switzerland.

You need to record them direct from your PS3 using some kind of capture device. I use a Hauppauge HD PVR.

i have a news question.

I found a video graber card, with hdmi in and hdmi out in 1080p so maybe i buy this. But i now found (not me my roomate) found something, on the web.

They are saying that you can save replays on your ps3 and then on a usb stick o put it on computer or youtube. is that possible in GT5 or is that from older GT Titles?

When this works, how i must do that? And can i take this datas into sony vegas or something else to cut and slice and somthing like this?

No, you cannot. The replay data is just data. It is not a video. Nothing can read the replay data except for a PS3 running GT5.

Refer to my first response.

I think you guys have been misunderstanding eachother.

If im correct he is asking if you can save a replay to your USB stick and then copy it to his PC. The answer is YES.

Save the replay, go to the replay centre, choose to export the replay to the hard drive. Quit game, go to the video's, press triangle and choose to copy. You can then select the USB drive (that needs to be plugged in!). It will then copy the relplay to your USB drive. Then simply copy it from your USB to your PC..

Its far too much work, but you dont need a capture card!

For the bit in bold; Yes it is possible in GT5

Please don't spread false information. The bit in bold is only possible up to the word computer. You cannot then put onto youtube. And once it's on your computer, you can't do anything with it, other than keep it there, or it can be emailed to someone who can put it onto their PS3 and watch it from there.

Have you even tried doing that yourself? Because the exported replays don't even go to "Videos"...

I have exported videos from GT5, but I have no idea where they go. Sure don't end up in Videos. I guess they don't want youtube being flooded with videos. :)

Why are you not listening to daan?

You cannot export them as a video file, just data for the GT5 program to use in game.
A 5 lap race replay data is around 4mb, do you really think you can fit 6-7mins of video in 4mb?

You Need to Capture!!

Either an HD PVR, or a cheaper Composite Capture Card, like a Dazzle Platinum or something similar. Depends on your budget, but in all honesty, if you want quality videos (i.e. NOT recording it with a camcorder), use one of the two above.

You need a component cable for the hauppauge hd pvr? I'm thinking of getting it but I'm really clueless about all these video cable things.

What will the resulting video be then, 720p?

OK8

You can record in up to 1080p... you need to buy a component cable, check what resolution the game is in.

Call of duty is in 720p, GT5 might be 1080p

Using component cables, I'm recording GT5 at 1920 x 1080.
