How to get other cars after the limit

What's the rush? Why do you NEED to collect cars so fast?

Why wait? Getting 1000 cars now beats getting them 5 years from now.

Original question. If tickets can get past the trade limit, it's the way to go. I'll get at least one for each year. Good years like '67 would be pretty straight forward. Though even some of the crowded years like 2000 would probably still be far better than earning credits. Still haven't seen the C5R.

I haven't tried car sharing yet, but I'd like to make some alt accounts and reacquire the X1, then post the PSN on here and let everyone/anyone who wants to drive the X1 get the shot they deserve for buying the game. With the tickets, I could also make accounts for the other expensive cars so that people are forced to waste their time just to get something. I wish I had my PS3 with me now so I could get on it.

If you don't have the time to get to the last level on God Of War III, should there be a "Skip to Zeus" portal for busy folk like you?

Yes. Even if you have all the time in the world and chain yourself to your SixAxis controller, the option should still be there.

It's a game, you don't deserve anything. Entitled much?

you really, REALLY don't get it, do you?

I do not want to grind incessantly for the GT40 mkIV and Ferrari F1 car's I'd like to test, the FGT for the FGT championship and the 787B which I'd like to race.Even the seasonal's are not enough (I sometimes miss them).

The thing is we have 'dream cars' we really want to get behind the wheel of,something we can't experience in real life and grinding is simply a waste of time, games are for enjoyment and fun after all.And yes GT5 is the only game I play and I play it frequently, but not to the point of obsession.I also don't race all the time, because the AI are stupid and violent and sometimes self-practice is what I feel like doing.

Also I have friends to be with, work to do and pets to tend to.GT5 is a game,Don't let it be your life.I don't have time for getting 30 million cr plus by playing excessively. As for my "daily driver" car (murcielago LP640) it's actually possible to afford and I earned it myself ,so I know how it feels to earn too.

My point is we should CONSIDER each others viewpoint and not crucify them because of it.Peace 👍

I'd still stick with tickets. It's rather easy if you do it in an organised manner. I just list out all cars I don't have and get the ticket which has the most number of cars. I usually end up getting most, if not all cars this way. I also avoid the tickets which give me only a single car I'm after, it usually never shows up. Just got a 908 from the '10 ticket today on my first try.

Wait, are you actually comparing a game with a with a story arc to a game like GT5?

He is, and his comparison is severly flawed.
The right comparison would be: the GT-version of God of War would force you to replay the first level about a hundred times before letting you go to level 2.

That's how detrimental and mind-numbingly tedious grinding is to the progression through the game.

What is the new max gifting limit going to be? I know some cars just under a million credits won't be able to be gifted .
The value of a Used car is not based on the price you buy it, but on an invisible internal value which is slightly higher ; concesquently, most cars that are priced around 980 000 - 999 999 Cr can't be trade either.

Threads get lost and hard to read with people slagging each other off. If you're interested in the thread then fine but if not then try a forum which pleases you more.

But wait I maybe correct in saying that you whole reason for commenting in this way is to get a reaction and hi jack the thread. So people who comment negatively in this way are best ignored completely and never given their stage to crow from.
I maybe wrong and you're just a miserable old bald git with nothing better to do than try and get a smile from other peoples reactions to what you think are clever posts.

I don't know whatever it is, but please just F off and do one.

Enough said. (For the record: you spelled "Highlander" wrong, too!)

That is as childish and as low as it can get. It is one thing (for the officials of these forums) to expect a general respect for English grammar and to use their power when necessary. It is another thing for ordinary members to quote every little typo and misuse them against perfectly valid arguments.

If you cannot contribute to the discussion, grow up and leave. Everyone makes typos. This thread is about something else.

PS - Is it really necessary to lay on with that passive-aggressive poke? What does that solve? Oh and since you went there, I just thought I'd point out that you spelled "argument" wrong. I do appreciate the effort, though. :)

Time it takes to complete Gran Turismo 5= at least 500 hours if not more.
Time it takes to complete God of War= 30ish hours? (don't have the game so don't know).
Point proven.

Now may I finish off with a quote from a mod as he locked a thread making your exact complaints.

"This horse has been flogged enough.

Bottom line is this - play GT5 however you desire. Naked for all I care. Just remember to close the blinds first.

However.

It's not your place to tell someone else how they should be playing it, , should not be playing it, how far they should be, how many cars they should have, not to dupe, to dupe, etc."

PS: I do believe that "of" in God of War should not be capitalized. Perhaps you need to study up on your English a bit more.

I also find it ironic that someone who is so into punctuation and capitilization can't even capitalize his name right. It should be "Villain."

You seem perfectly capable of forming a proper English sentence. What is stoping you from capitalizing the first letter and placing a period at the end? I've quoted it to you twice and you still haven't gotten the message, so tell me, who is being stubborn?

You're right, there are people from all around the world on this forum, and when you starting using "txt spk" and other shortcuts, it can make it more difficult to read what you are trying to say.

Anyways, from this point on I'm just going to ignore all of your posts because I have yet to see you post anything on-topic in this thread or any other.
-----------

Sorry, OP and mods. I know it's not my place to tell him what to do, and I know this is not the place to do it. Hopefully he'll figure it out soon enough.

At least if you are going to send the "pedanticometer" off the scale by criticising someone's grammar, then please ensure your grammar and spelling are correct.

Stoping - I think you mean stopping
Anyways - Is this even a word ?
Starting using - Start using ?
Gotten - Is this American English as it isn't English English

LOL

I suspect birthday ticket duping and trading will go haywire from now on. As will higher level car tickets. 1000 tickets not so much.

Dude, you answered just your own question. It's absolutely boring to grind, and without grinding you need years to get the most expensive cars.

And please stop the argument with: why do you need the expensive cars, what's wrong about a miata or a golf?

Truth be told, nothing. But I can drive those in real life, and for me virtual games should always be different than real life, to be precise, it should be an improvement. I'm commuting every day about 3 hours, to work and back again. And I have to say, getting stuck in a traffic jam is more interesting than grinding. And because grinding is the hugest part of this game this is a very very sad statement, but it's true.

Oh but back to the question. I'm hoping that PD gets some sense back into their heads and they either give us more and better paid events or give us back the trading, duping, glitching, cheating, call it what you like.

The grinding is just wasted time, so cutting short time which is wasted is nothing but human. Otherwise you would have a keyboard with only 0 and 1 in front of you and you would have to remember all the binary code to type. Why do you guys use a standard keyboard instead of a binary one???? It's a shortcut, it was not meant to be like this when it was invented. You purists and elitists should all be ashamed of yourself (except you have a binary keyboard in front of you). Otherwise you just use double standards, whenevery they are convenient for you.

Oh, back to the question of the op. I hope PD will get some sense back into their heads soon and give us back the trading, shortcutting, glitching, cheating or whatever you call it.

I don't think I answered my own question, but I assume what you're saying is that the appeal of the duping shortcut is that it's a more favorable choice than the boredom associated with grinding.

(I also assume and hope that you aren't directing any sort of condesending "you purists and elitists should be ashamed of yourselves" statements specifically at me.)

Although it wouldn't be mine, it's the individual player's choice to make, I suppose.

I think we should all have the right to choose how we play the game, and respect the rights of others to do so - regardless whether or not we agree with their choice.

However, we all should also show the same level of respect to others by considering the impact of our choice on them, and it's my opinion that PD's messing with the legitimate use of the gift/trade system as a response to duping indicates that the choice to dupe is one that's detrimental to others. (Yes, PD's response was itself a bad choice, but irrelevant to the opinion that the choice to dupe is detrimental - there wouldn't have been an opportunity for PD's bad choice to be made in the first place if they didn't feel they had to respond to duping. It's also irrelevant as to whether PD should or shouldn't respond to duping, because it's their game. We've only paid for the opportunity to play it...)

Oh, and it's not true that it'll take years in order to get all the cars in the game. If one doesn't want all the cars in the game, heck, it'll take that much less time. I've been grinding the 🤬 out of B-Spec, and during the month of February alone was able to purchase about 1/3 of the standard cars in the game - including plenty of cars costing 1 million credits and more.

Peace...
