Sorry, you'll have to earn more money, first. There's nothing that costs less than a car that ends with a '2'. So you'll need enough money to buy a car whose price ends in '2'. Then your money total will have a 0 at the end. Then if your money total ends in 30 or 40, then you'll need to buy a car whose price ends in 30 or 40 (for example). At that point, your money total will end in 00.

That's the process you need. When your money total ends in 000, it will be much easier to either buy a car in the showroom or buy an upgrade that also ends in 000. 👍

You could back up your save, start a new game, buy 4 karts, get the trophy, and restore your save.

The maximum amount of money you can have is 20,000,000 Cr. There are a few cars available that cost that much.

If you can get your credits so the last two digits are 00 or 50, you can keep changing the oil and washing your cars. Run them in practice mode and then repeat until you get the trophy.

Hehe yeah thanks, I know... But I was thinking of getting the trophy now while I was so close... Just bought a Viper Oreca #51 so...But oh well.. Going to get some cash then...

And I got it ;)

Ok, story, had 1,232 Cr.

1. Raced the High Speed Ring on A-Spec where you win 50,400

2. Got some cash and bought a BMW 120is and had 20,850 Cr left.

3. Raced the same race again.. Had 71,250 Cr after that race.

4. I bought some upgrades for my XJ220 + oil change, had 11,000 left.

5. Bought ECU + Titanium Racing Exhaust for my BMW 120is..

6. *Pling* Penniless Trophy :D :D :D

Hah.. Felt good :cheers:
Now I can save up money again without needing to know there is a trophy left where I have to spend all the cash :dopey:
 
There's another way. When you start the game you have 20,000 credits. There is a car which you can buy for 19,000 credits. That leaves you with 1000 credits. Next go to the tuning shop and buy the sports ECU. Then you should get the trophy.
 
Once you hit 20,000,000 cr it's easy. There's a range of cars costing exactly that and you can't exceed that amount in funds. So voila, penniless. It's how I got mine.
