Hi everyone,

I'm trying to become a better driver at GT7, but I believe I'm going too much modification at once.

Removed track breaking zone and apex/driving lane) - I'm getting way better without it, easy to remove this function.

TCS to 0 - That one is kinda hard, my wheel often spin when accelerating after a curve and my tranmission is not shifting fast enough.. I belive it's due to the pressure on the acceleration. Could I go back TCS 2-3 until I get more confortable or TCS 2 is the way to go, just get use to it?

Transmission - Impossible to play manual for now... would eventually switch.

I bought a G29 with Pedal that I use 80% of the time, for certain license controller seems to be better for me at the moment.

Will look at the thread about all gold on everything... one step at the time!

Manual gears definitely helps since you can downshift sooner for more engine braking. You can then upshift to a higher gear to prevent wheelspin. You'll notice a lot of faster players shift to 3rd before accelerating out of a 2nd gear corner in some cars because it allows them to get a more stable exit, like @eran0004 mentioned.

Beyond that it's pretty much just a case of putting the time in. I've been playing (on controller, no wheel) the GT series since the first game and I'm fairly sure I'm still not in the top 10%.

The circuit experiences are a pretty good way to practise though since you can learn tracks sector-by-sector.
