Hi everyone,

I'm trying to become a better driver at GT7, but I believe I'm going too much modification at once.

Removed track breaking zone and apex/driving lane) - I'm getting way better without it, easy to remove this function.

TCS to 0 - That one is kinda hard, my wheel often spin when accelerating after a curve and my tranmission is not shifting fast enough.. I belive it's due to the pressure on the acceleration. Could I go back TCS 2-3 until I get more confortable or TCS 2 is the way to go, just get use to it?

Transmission - Impossible to play manual for now... would eventually switch.

I bought a G29 with Pedal that I use 80% of the time, for certain license controller seems to be better for me at the moment.

Will look at the thread about all gold on everything... one step at the time!

Manual gears definitely helps since you can downshift sooner for more engine braking. You can then upshift to a higher gear to prevent wheelspin. You'll notice a lot of faster players shift to 3rd before accelerating out of a 2nd gear corner in some cars because it allows them to get a more stable exit, like @eran0004 mentioned.

Beyond that it's pretty much just a case of putting the time in. I've been playing (on controller, no wheel) the GT series since the first game and I'm fairly sure I'm still not in the top 10%.

The circuit experiences are a pretty good way to practise though since you can learn tracks sector-by-sector.

Update : Stayed TCS 0 with Manuel tranmission, when to Normal difficulty, everything is working great now! Tried some "lower" car under 700 pp and ONCE my LM55... so far so good, 1st place is guarantee, need to reduce my time a bit before going to hard mode.

Thnx all for the tips!

the g29 wheel settings also can mess you up. remember you don't want a setting that allows the wheel to Fight you in curves or coming out of them. that's not natural. if the wheel fights you in real life then you have horrible suspension or bad tie rod ends or ball joints. it should be smooth without kick backs or swerving feeling.

in your gt7 settings at the top left hand corner before you start a race theres a logo type box you need to click on. click on vibration and use 75% vibration or lower. you can use zero if you want but some of that vibration helps you feel some tire and road details. if you go above 75 it gets muddy and less detailed.

then after you start a race pause it and go to controller settings use 10 on controller ffb. then at the bottom of that same menu change the last 2 rows to 4 on second to last setting and 2 on the last bottom setting.

ive noticed anything more then this will cause you fighting that wouldn't happen in a real car unless bad suspension is there. and by bad suspension i mean horrible worn out parts. if youve been using higher settings this might feel loose at first but give it a few races and i almost promise youll gain lap time and speed. itll let you glide through curves and be able to feel the slip angle slide thats needed vs having to brake to much because your wheel is fighting your line. itll help a ton with feeling the brakes better too and trail braking.

let us know what you think

g29 is a great wheel but you cant over power it or itll fight you .
