How to install previuosly purchased items?

Does anyone know how to install previously purchased items? I bought a couple of things, but did not install them at purchase and now it shows that I own them, but I can't figure out how to install them.

If they're performance parts you have to do it in the settings/tuning menu in the garage or before a race. If it isn't there and it's in the "items" menu, you have to be in the car it's for, then install it via that menu.
