Hello,
I just signed up, I cannot find how to create/post a thread. Only on this help page I can find this. How do I post a new thread on the gt sport forum?

No, when I click post new thread on the gt sport forum, I come to a place where I can create a new thread which I have done 3 times now. but I cannot post it there, there is no 'Post new thread' button on that page! There should be a button like the one down here 'post reply', but there isn't!

It's called "Create Thread" in both the GT Sport forum and this, the Site Support forum.

No you don't.
Was this changed recently?
I remember awhile back a mod saying something about new members needed X amount of posts before they can make a new thread, it had to do with reducing spam bots making threads. I couldn't find the post now, all I can find is a thread from 2010/11 talking about there needs to be min. post count to make a thread and new members first post must approved by a mod.

I remember something like that too if my memory is still good.

It may have been a temporary measure put in place during various GT releases when there were new threads every second!

As you're browsing through there @SlipZtrEm , I remember that years ago, it was possible to see who was browsing any thread when we were browsing the concerned thread too. It was at the bottom of the page iirc.
No way to set this option in the new gtp software?

No, that's not supported by our current software platform.

You have to have # of post before you can make a new thread in the forum.
Well that is awkward. So I. Need to spend my time posting things I’m not particularly interested in before I can post the reason I joined in the first place. Marvelous

Nope. This was not true at the time, still is not true, and has never been true. And one of the site admins pointed it out in direct response.

I know this because it was me:

Ok then HOW DO I CREATE A NEW THREAD
Just for future reference for anyone who might click on this thread:

In any sub-forum (this is the GT7 one) you can either click the green button in the top-right corner to go to a dedicated Create New Thread screen, or start to type the title for your new thread in the Create New Thread bar to open an inline new thread creation box.

I once made some threads but as most people who come and visit this site the 'make thread' button is (too) difficult to find. I do not understand why this has been made soooooo hard. It is one of the core things people want to do on this site. Make threads and communicate with each other. Why make this so difficult then since A LOT of people keep on asking the same thing. When you come to the homepage why not make a big fat button no one can overlook or has to do a 10days quest to find it????

3 people in 7 years is hardly "A LOT".

Most manage to create threads just fine.

It is not 3 people in 7 years. More like 3 people a day. Do not be so arrogant and read outside this forum about this forum too and your answer as MOST people who matter over here cobstantly do doesn't say anything about the message and the important thing we are talking about namely the button is HARD to find for 'some' people who otherwise find heaps of buttons fairly easy since in my experience I have visited a trillion sites in my lifetime and I can fairly make that statement. What intelligent people who run sites do is take EVERY customer serious and try to imagine what people are complaining about and then you will come to the conclusion that maybe maaaaaaaaybe the button is hard to find and better programmed in a more obvious place. Open the site, make a screenshot and simply show where you can find this button? That seems to hard for you guys. Instead you sent a manual people need to read for an hour or more ... That is what we call non customer friendly or in other words arrogant.

Ooh yeah and using your power to shut people up who post a thread that does not fit your liking is not what we call democracy but tirany. And to name a few just read Hitlers or Napoleons or Stalins or now Putins methods. They seem to use the same strategy as you. Tyrans always fear the people who they are trying to overpower, the most. Like you do now thus since you are already shutting me up before people can reply. Do you fear me?

I'll refer you to post 19 of this very thread.

Edit: Godwin's law already.

And the same thing you guys do when people criticize the game. Also that is a tyrans method. Put out all critics.
When somebody says a race seems impossible you answer practise more. When somebody says the game has some very frustrating dishonest things built in it you laugh at those people. Thus you guys are being totally arrogant. Can people react to this post or again are you shutting people up for their honest opinion and take a monopoly on the thruth yourself? I am wondering what you fear the most

Again no straight forward answer. I put my thread on sportplanet because there you can find a green button and then uou guys with power say that it should not be posted over there but on this site etc etc etc. Why is it so hard for you guys to just help someone instead if giving him other assignments. A screenshot and some simple directions would be enough and again more simple would be if the button was just there when you open the site. A 5 year old child knows that. It is what people do over here. It is like having a music store where you hide ALL your instruments and when somebody asks you where you can find a guitar you refer him to the groundplan of the house you can find on their website somewhere .... just walk with him and show him the guitars damned. And off course better would be not to hide the instruments in a MUSIC STORE. Point understood now?

And this is where you go wrong. This is a thread about making threads on GTPlanet, yet here you are going on about GT7's difficulty and other threads being locked.

If you stayed on topic and weren't as abusive or so aggressive, you might get on a bit better.

Edit: The image in post 19 doesn't help you create a new thread?
