How to put in your own songs to GT5

Can someone tel me how to put in you own songs to GT5 because as I understand it I can put in my own song from harddrives and such but I dont have a clue on how to do that.

If I remember correctly, you can add songs to your external HDD, connect the HDD to your PS3, then you can import songs to your XMB, and create a playlist.
In GT5 you can go to options, and find the music menu where you can play your playlist.

Im sure someone has a better 'how-to' method.

Copy some music to your hard drive (HDD), either by inserting a CD or a USB-device containing the files. Put the wanted files in a playlist. (Triangle at a file and select 'add to playlist')
Then ingame go to the music library and select custom BGM. Then select the playlist.

I have the PS3 media server wich lets me copy music from my harddrive to the Ps3 byuseing my home network so geting the songs to the PS3 is,t a problem i only need to know wich menus to enter to add them from the PS3 harddrive to GT5.
