People could face that regardless. Maybe I'll pick a bad car for them. I dunno. It's unfortunate that they have so many option, but that is the challenge. run my races, or send in times for your own, or work together in design your own together.

But i think we're not the problem.
Those people without a team, never competed in a comp before don't really know where to start. They want to join this, read the post and see that they can choose from 800 races. That would scare me off too. EDIT: me to!

I just hope that this time there will be much more people competing that last time. And maybe making it a little smaller would attract more people to join.

These are good points, and maybe Talentless could write up a new statement of requirements that would cater to those who are new to OLR.
I don't think that Talentless wants to scare anyone off. Even if someone hasn't had experience in OLR they still could potentially be very competent racers.

ppl can free run, send old endurance times. whatever. just think of it as a sales pitch.

Why don't we each take a little time to honestly anaylyze ourselfs and set ourselfs up a individual short list of races that we should run based on our strengths and weaknesses.

Example: There was a spot race that involved the Opel Speedster at Seattle, I could run this race or something similar and document my progression and improvement through it.

GAWD I hated that car!!!! With the white hot intensity of a thousand suns!

I do enjoy the speedster, but Seattle is still my sworn enemy.

rarely ever do I get a good clean run.

So...say Monday we come back with our thoughts and evaluations to post up here?

3 cars, each on a different track? Various states of dress, and thoughts about each one?

Absolutly on the money there AO! That's exactly what I was getting at! Good work there my friend!

Mr. Holland, did you read that?

Monday it is!

Ok, heres what were workin with. Of course we could modify this to suit our strengths and weaknesses!

As Talentless stated, this is not exactly set in stone.

As follows:

Here it is. Complete as much as you can. (Post #36)

First, buy or win these cars if you do not already have them:

Integra Type R
NSX '97
Camaro SS
Daihatsu
Viper GTS
Elise 190
RX-7 type RZ
Lancer Evo 7 RS
Ruf RGT
Impreza Sedan WRX STi
Falcon XR8 Race Car
Supra RZ
Tuscan Speed Six

Race Cars: Any JGTC NSX, Castrol Supra, (Arcade) Oreca Viper, Toyota GT one, (Arcade) TVR Speed 12

Fully modify them and run them on the courses (when possible) in TT for 3 laps forward and reverse (when possible) .

Code:
BTT#1 Midfield Integra Type R
BTT#2 Trial Mtn NSX 1997
BTT#3 Tokyo R246 Camaro SS
BTT#4 Deep Forest Diahatsu (please fully modded...)
BTT#5 Laguna Seca Viper GTS
BTT#6 Apricot Hill Elise 190
BTT#7 Grand Valley RX-7 Type RZ
BTT#8 Swiss Alps Lancer Evo 7 RS
BTT#9 Rome Circuit Ruf RGT
BTT#10 Cote D'Azur Impreza Sedan WRX STi.

I had to adjust the last two tracks abit, as the cars didn't line up well.

Can I set a standard as all max hp at no more than 600hp?
T8's across the board?

Best lap form each, as many as able before October 31st midnight?

AO

You know, it really is best you guys try and run these as close to parameters as possible. But you do not have to. However, Mobil1 has a good point.

The only parameters set were T1 tires. And what did Mobile1 say?

Um, you need to reread post 36

Ugh, I hate and absolutely refuse to do a rally race! Just my thoughts.
