The hackers are their own worst enemy, really. If they kept their hacks to themselves and only raced offline there wouldn't be a problem. But of course their ego gets the better of them and they have to show off and show everyone how clever they are... and they manage to get their hacks banned, and possibly worse.

,,,, which actually lifts off over the hill at Route X!

I just noticed in this video both the GT-R and the Blitz appear to have an X1 engine (judging on the rev counter), when the Civic, Kart and FGT all had their orginal engines just with loads extra power.

I wonder if the GT-R and Blitz were made by a different person to who orginially made th Civic, Kart and FGT?

And I also wonder if this GT-R and Blitz are the first sign of that GT5 Garage editor in use Transformers was talking about in another thread.

Its fun using these cars in open lobbies, but I dont race them. Except in seasons and get 25million credits for winning a 5 lap race with -1100 pp with the x2010 lol.

So basically, the whole essence of the game is now detroyed for you?

It took me a freakin year to level to a 40 A & B spec most people don't have a year to spend on gt5 getting to that level

I've been level 40/40 for over a year and a half, I have most of the cars. All I care about is online racing. This game has been done for me for a long time.

This is pathetic, seeing a hybrid car for the first time in GT5 wow. I can’t believe people are really doing this.

Then why continue? :dunce:

Seriously, how? I've only seen dedicated hybrid rooms on SSRX with maybe one or two outside them drag racing at De La Sarthe. They aren't ruining the game...

There's always the fear that hackers will abuse the game to the point where it's no longer enjoyable and cheating is the norm. And it has happened, anyone who played Mario Kart DS online back in its heyday will know what i'm talking about.

For a game like Gran Turismo 5, this is more than likely not the case. Considering how far one may have to go to create or obtain these cars, the whole scene will be very small.

There's also the matter of how usable these cars are. 9/10 times if you're not on SSRX and in a pp restricted room, you will never run into these things, and if you do, they're usually outclassed by legitimate cars. Unless we get a bunch of people creating Supras and Carltons for 650PP Racing, i wouldn't even be concerned about how this will "ruin" the game.

One guy has already made a garage editor...
He says he won't release it until after the exploit is patched.

But If one guy can do it, others will follow.

I have found how to mod the game save on OFW. But i dont think its related to the cars in anyway. Only directs to changing B-spec, A-Spec Level and credit limit.... i will have to direct more and search a bit.

The only reason why I might use modded cars is for offline, private lobbies with friends, or if everyone else in an online lobby has a modded car and can race in them. Not for cheating. It would be really cool if someone could send me a modded, premium rally car...

 Well what's the point of releasing it after the exploit gets patched.:dunce:

💡 I know, I'll shut the gate after the horse has bolted..... :ouch: Oh wait there's no point now.

I guess the idea is not to destroy GT5 Online for everyone not interested in Hybrids, while also allowing people to hybrid offline.

I don't see how this is "ruining gran turismo" for everybody. Nor do I see how this is destroying the point of gran turismo for the people involved. It's just good fun, not everything has to be upright and serious.

So much this. I wish people weren't so god damn ignorant about others gameplay styles.

Better value than the $60 X2010s

Might as well post this...

PP limit is stored server side... thats a whole different kettle of fish to hacking a savegame in the privacy of your own home and PC

If you can find a way to get 3000 HP on a Civic, it's not that big a leap to find a way to get the same Civic to show up as 500PP.

Have you never run across a troll? Never been in a lobby where some clown takes advantage of some small gap in the rules and ruin's everyone else's race? Never played some other game where it got hacked and you couldn't have a normal game anymore because someone might show up with a weapon you didn't have, or unlimited ammo or became invincible? Has nothing to do with being uptight and serious and everything to do with wanting to maintain the integrity of the game and not turn it into a joke.

Agreed!
This is ruining gt5 for me, people clowning around when the whole room is trying to do something fun. They just join to annoy, purposely! oy vey, oy vey

All these "new" cars are cool, intriguing & impressive, but if more people get them, then more rooms will be cluttered with wheel smokin' civics, which will get very old. To me, GT5 doesn't need this "hack" (or what ever it is exactly, i don't know) I can do without on this one

Well Civics and Karts are fun but I'm afraid they just went too far.

BTW, sorry to be the biggest BuzzKillington of all time.
I'm not going to share my toolset & GT5 Workshop until this is patched. (Probably Soon 19th)

When I'm not working and have a chance to play PS3, GT5 is the only game I play.
I'm also a top ten Time Trial Player, so I sure as heck don't want people cheating me on the leaderboards.

If someone figures this stuff out (You are doing it the hardest way possible), well done.
I'm not trying to be 1337 fame whore. But I am itching to share the tools because its so much ******* fun, ripping around the place doing wheelies & having impossible cars,,,,,,

Yea so, hopefully it's patched soon.

Posted this afternoon (15/2/13) in direct response to lots of Q&A's in a discussion about hex editing etc (from a whole host of people)

But that's not happening. It's for the most part contained in specific rooms. People are getting upset even though it has no effect on them. A few people said they were destroying the purpose of the game, that does have everything to do with people taking the game overly serious and acting as if by using these hacks, they are somehow breaking some moral code. I'm not into that ideology, if some one wants to mess around with an unrealistic car they can do it if they want, just as long as it doesn't effect the core gameplay. It's no different then those people who take out x2010 at in appropriate times.

Yes it is, as far as I believe to know the car statistics (tuning etc.) are stored in your save game, but the performance points are calculated by the game itself when it loads up a car using the base performance points and a formula adding up on that according to its current state. Both these two values are taken from the game data, and to modify that you will have to do a lot more than changing some values in the save game.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

^ This. I don't see how 'trolls' in any cars ramming and messing around in serious rooms are any different than Civic drivers who do the same, so it's not really that much of a change.
