Are there any? I remember back in the day with the other GT's putting Race car engines in Normal cars. I remember way back when we use to put GT40 tires on a toyota Prius. Are they not any more Hybrids.

I think we should tell him the answer that takes 5 seconds to answer, and call it a day.

There's no hybrids in GT4.

See, that took less than 5 seconds. Now a mod can lock this topic, and we'll be on our merry way.

Then you probably missed the Hybrids & Gameshark forum (though it is now, inexplicably, a subforum in the GT2 forum), in which this question is asked many a time.

And the answer is no. The genius behind GT3 hybrids has declared it to be too time-consuming - if indeed possible at all - to do with GT4 and no-one has taken his place.

hmm...Honda Element isn't a hybrid. but it is sooooo slow,i believe that it is this sloow because the real car they tested was an automatic, and because automatics have torque converters. they didnt put them into the game, so the car will move so slow. from the gear ratio (first gear goes to over 100kmh), it is proved that it is an automatic car because usually auto. cars have lower first gear and a higher final drive. 👍 hahaha this maybe wrong, so only see it as it reference.

unless that was a joke that fell short of it's target opendriver19a, methinks that you and kiwiboy are mistaking the meaning of 'hybrid' in this case. This is not to do with automotive trivia, it's about hacking game saves.

Anyways, the question has been answered, and as of right now there is no hybriding in GT4.

Well regardless of that fact that you are mistaking the topic (as noticed by BL) a torque converter has its advantages and disadvantages. At low speeds it has the ability to multiply torque many times. The overall inefficiency of the auto comes in to factor at higher rpms.

Locking as the original question was answered and we're now going off topic.
