I know this is an upfront answer and all I want is a yes or a no. . . Thanks guys : )

I would say, No. That would be a kangaroo court * and could start vendettas against members that have done nothing wrong.

* why is it called that?

Actually I believe that if enough of those little red "x's" to the right accumulate against you, you will become a member of the "banned"

That would be great. Wanna sign my petition to ban you?

Sure. . . when is my public banning?
Illustrates my point nicely, don't you think?

Not really.

Miata, how's Thursday for you?
My schedule is booked until next monday, wanna do lunch beforehand???

- edit - Where should we post my banning??? I was thinking the Test Forum for posting reasons, but I feel worthy enough for the Hanging block. . . er. . . Rumble Strip. . . : )

I'll pass onlunch. Monday is good for me. I'll get the petition going.
ok, where do I sign my name ???

Uh, no. This sounds like a terrible idea. Let the moron moderators do their job. Even though they don't do that great of a job, they sometimes get it done. There's really no reason to have a public banning petition; the report to moderators link works just fine.

No. Members are banned after AUP/TOS violations. The number of violations that they can incur prior to banning is generally 3, but they can be banned sooner or later than that depending upon the severity of the offence(s) and the general degree to which they contribute to the community.

In each case, it's up to the discretion of the Moderator concerned, and the matter is generally discussed privately amongst the moderators before, during and after.
