I got my license today! Finally, after bugging my parents for two or three weeks, I went to the exam station yesterday, but they weren't accepting any more walk-ins, so I went today, waited 5.5 hours, then finally got tested, and passed on me first try!

If only I had my own car, now..... But I guess I can share the 3 cars with my parents and my older brother, at least until he leaves off for the University and leaves the car at home:D

- Ford Gran Torino (or similar old, big Ford)
- Ford Taurus wagon

What's the third one?

5.5 hours, that sucks. I went there in the morning right when they opened(year ago)and I didn't have everything so we had to go back home then come back and we thought we were going to have to wait a couple hours but I got out of there in about half hour. I only had to take the driving test, not the written. What about you?

I was going to guess Intrepid, but the new style.

T&C LXi is a kickass (if expensive) car. If I were you, I'd be honoured to drive it. Seriously.

Congrats, make full use of this responsibility. :)

And have a hell of a lot of fun, duh!

I have yet to go...I have no job and no money and my parents don't think I should drive till I can pay for it. Even though it's not my car.

But my permit expires on the 8th, so I will push to get it before then.

Heh, not much better for you either. :p

Anyway, I'm taking online Driver Ed right now, and I shall have my license on March 16, 2004... preferably at 9:00AM so that I can beat Duke. ;)

just concider urself lucky. in NY a new law passed so just before my Bday i have my permit for like 6 months or sumthin then junior licence on go school and work then like a year later can get my normal licence. that will be a real treat

I have to wait about 3 years after I can legally get my Learners... because you have to have the L for one year, Red P for another year, then Green P for another year before you get the full license...:irked:

I can drive now, with an L plate and a supervisor, but hopefully that will all change on the 12th of July when I sit my Restricted License test, allowing me to drive by myself, without an L plate, but if I have any passengers, one of them must be a full license holder. :irked:

Wish me luck!

Congratumatations, Rob :)!

I can get my license whenever I go to take the test. I'm not in much of a hurry, since I've seen my insurance quote. Even after passing Drivers' Ed with an A and some stupid test from the Agency, it sucks. Still, I'm going getting it before August. The Camry needs me.

Isn't it required that you have your permit for at least 6 months before you can get your license? I know it is here.

Natalie Portman is nothing short of a goddess .

Congrats Rob. You will now experience and not only know that Car = Freedom. It's all true. I'm 32 and still love driving like I did when I was 16.

Got my learners license about a month ago. I love driving its a hell of a lot of fun.

I have been driving regularly around town and our neighbourhood to shops and stuff but I only got my first taste of rush-hour-traffic this morning (high-way and town). Pretty freaky but it doesn't get me down, I'll show them tomorrow ;)

grtz!

Yes, she's very VERY beautiful!!;)
Nope, in my State(Illinois), you have to hold your Learner's Permit for a mimum of 3 months!!

Haha, Yeah It's kind of nerve-racking the first few times when there are alot of cars around you. You don't want to make a mistake, get someone mad, and sure as hell dont want to crash!!!

Haven't driven on the highway yet, but it shouldn't be too hard. Driving is fun as long as you aren't stupid!

Written is for the permit, driving is for the license. So I guess you could say either both or just driving. It's a matter of the timeframe(just over a year wide)

I like the T&C. Leather seats, seat warmers in the front for cold Minnesota winters, stereo controls on the steering wheel, it's all nice:D(Although it's my mom's...)
Today was the first time I drove by myself; I would have driven earlier, but I was gone for a week(The starting the day after I got my license, then just got back yesterday), so that kind of put a lid on things for a while. But I drove the Intrepid today, it's a nice car, handles nicely and everything. I just wish it was easier to get out of... For some reason Dodge decided it would be handy to have some ledge 3 inches wide underneath where the door closes, so it's a real pain to get out of because it gets in the way when you try to stand up because it's where your legs should be, not some plastic thing...
