That was actually an option with a pretty expensive package, if I recall. Do you have alloy wheels or chrome?

Where i am you can get your learners at 15 and a half, then you have to wait 9 months befoer you can take your road test....once you get that there arte still restrictions on you like...number of passengers, and certain time restrictions, right now i just have my learners

Man, all of my friends are older than I am because I barely made the age cut for my grade. All my friends are getting their lisence before I get my temps. Our permit age is 15 and 1/2, so I gotta wait till february. Anyways congrats rjensen

Aluminum. We ended up buying it new. With all of the packages and stuff we have in addition, I think it's $36,675.00, then add some money for the trailer hitch and stuff...
We have leather seats, leather covered steering wheel, bucket seats for the middle heated front seats, and probably more.

You do realise that those things top out at $38,000 and one cannot spend more for a minivan if they tried (fully-equpped Pacificias go up to $40,300, though it's up for debate whether those are minivans).

I applaud anybody who's willing to spend that much to buy the best. Thumbs.

Pacificas.... I saw my first one two weeks ago... I'm not a big fan of them. It's not really a minivan, but a mutt betwixt sedans and SUV's. Basically, it's like a large Subaru rally car, but doesn't have as good performance.

I'm happy with the minivans we have. The '93 Caravan has a CD player with it, came with the car probably(Bought it from my aunt, but that was at least 5 years ago...), and it's not too bad, with the exception that it's on its second transmission and the like(Well, you WOULD expect an American car to have some problems after 160k miles, right?)
I'm also happy with the LXi we have. I don't really think the Limited ones are much better, LXi is comfortable enough for me:D

It's more of a mix between a wagon and an SUV - it does have some pretty cool features indicative of new Chrysler. I'm not a huge fan of the Pacifica, but I hope it does well because I think Chrysler's put a lot into it. I don't have the same hope for Crossfire - I know it'll do well.

Nah, the LXi is perfect (especially at $36,700). Good to see some people out there are loyal to the best line of minivans in existence.

I talked to my mom, and she says we got ours new at around 28k

i start my license in a month and a half or so, hopefully i'm taking a driving course to cut that period down to 8 months, and get lower insurance, too.

September 16th, 2003 for my permit, March 16, 2004 for my license.

And I'm taking Driver Ed as we speak. :) (Online!)

When I first got my license when I was 17 on a Thursday, that next Friday I skipped school and drove to Las Vegas,. You have to plan on going somewwhere nice so you will always remember the first real car trip you took yourself.:D

I have my permit, and I can get my provisional license on October 16. The provisional is basically a regular license, but you can't drive past 12 am I believe. I love having my permit though, it's great actually being able to drive.

We have a BMW 5 series, a 99 Toyota Celica and my 2001 Hyundai Tiburon, and (Doug's gonna hate me) I like driving the Tiburon the best. I just like the manual transmission more, and I guess the fact that I drive it a lot more has made me more used to it.

congrats dude. make GOOD use of that responsibility/pleasure/fun/commitment/etc. driving is a lot of things. be careful, and be cool. and dont rice, please.

Cano

as for me, I got my license @ 16, intended to drive regularly... then saw I couldnt afford the gas check for a small block V8 at the time, and stopped driving, fro there, there hasnt been two cars in the family, so I have been like 4 years or so without TOUCHING a steering wheel. man I shoulda go and take the driving course again. I dont trust me anymore @@

What is Driver's Ed? (Obviously Driver's Education, but what do you do in it?)

You watch videos that tell you how to grip a steering wheel and where the turn signals are, and you learn that alcohol impairs your driving.

I feel so enlightened after studying for that class!!

 I'm glad we don't have that down here...so I'm guessing some people don't know where the turn signals are at like 15? Dude, that'd be shockers...so I guess some people must've crashed and that's how this thing came into plan.

Trust me, there are ALOT OF STUPID PEOPLE in America..

Ah, Drivers Ed. I loved that class. Didn't have to study and didn't have to stay awake. I knew everything already at that point, so it was "nap time."

I remembered they tought us to perform CPR by bringing in this dummy that you would have to "revive." So it was my turn and I first had to shake the dummy and ask it, "Are you alright?" Then you had to give it a breath which didn't taste so good because they cleaned the dummy's mouth with some sort of industrial "mint" flavored anticeptic that tasted like ass. Then you had to give it some chest compressions. So I'm standing up there at age 16, already standing in at 6'3", 230 lbs. and full of muscles, when I give it a good pump. The damn thing went "Kerchunk-a-chunk!" I looked up at the teacher thinking I just broke the damn thing , the kids in the class took a big breath in, "hhuuuugghhhhh!", and then they started to giggle and the teacher looked me dead in the eye and said, "You were suppose to save her, not finish her off!"

Ah yes, the joys of Drivers ED.:D

Yay, I passed my driving test and now I can drive by myself. :D

I went for a drive today to drop off a DVD we rented last night, the Laser sure accelerates fast when you're by yourself.

Yeah, well, did you pass your test with the headlights on and forgetting to turn up the control panel lights using the dimmer switch? I did, and yes, it only shows what gear it is for the car I tested in if you have the lights on somewhat. So, yeah, beat that!

Oh how am I meant to know that it's a freakin' Mazda. If it's called a Ford.

Also in the UK they made a few 323's that looked exactly like ford fiestas, except they had a slightly different front with a mazda badge. But it looked so dumb.

That laser looks like an Escort.
I get to drive this, not the greatest, but better than driving a sedan.
