RUF build cars based on porche's, e.g. based on the 996-type porche 911 GT3. The engine in the RGT is a PORSCHE 3.6l (they are tuned porches, with a different badge) If i got a fiesta an tuned the engine but upgraded the sus etc.. and put a DAN badge on it does that make it a DAN FIESTA?? No it makes it a ford fiesta which has been upgraded by ME!![]()
Our expertise and decades of experience are reflected in the service, repair and refurbishment of Porsche sports cars. "there website" nuff said.
The funny thing... has the OP even addressed the people who are questioning the validity of his claims by asking for pictures?
Can you please post some pics of the ruf car your talking about- the game has a photo mode built into it so how hard can it be? please
You cannot use standard cars in photomode.
Funny that you Famine continues the offtopic, thought you were an admin...

Well, there's always someone who wants to push it. Today's specimen:
If you get an unmarked Fiesta shell with no VIN on it and put parts on it of your own design and manufacture, you can register it as whatever the hell you want. A Dan Fiesta if you wish, though Ford may take issue with your use of their name.
Ruf's cars are Ruf cars, not Porsches. They buy an unmarked unibody from Stuttgart and full it full of parts of their own design and manufacture. The car is then stamped with a Ruf VIN and registered as a Ruf, not a Porsche. And no, the engine isn't the same 3.6 as found in the back of a Porsche, though it shares some components.
The same goes for Brabus and Mercedes.
Yes, they also make parts for everyone else's Porsches, because they aren't idiots. As McLaren pointed out two days ago, they make their own cars and tune other people's for them.
Which is irrelevant to the point. The Ruf RGT is a Ruf RGT and not a tuned Porsche, regardless of what you might think. Get hold of the V5C for one if you don't believe me.
Knowing things beats looking them up on the internet and trying to fit them round your preconceived notions.
Not as far as I'm aware.
Seems like you are a little butt hurt. RUF's are Porches.. as been declared over and over in this thread. To argue the point only shows you're trying way to hard to be cool on a forum.. you're admin status is supposed to have that covered for you lol
I know it's still off topic, but it's kinda funny watching you guys shouting about something you clearly know nothing about. What Famine is saying about RUF is 100% accurate. It's almost as though you all know this, but you're just arguing for the sake of it. Either way, he's right, you're wrong. Thought you were all meant to be car enthusiasts?
Good idea and horrible implementation. I personally would have had to wait 10 months and who knows wtf I would have gotten... Some micro car with 12hp or god's gift to the automotive world.
Almost as bad as bspec which was both a horrible idea and horrible implementation.
My friend JUST turned A-Spec level 40 a couple minutes ago right in front of me, and guess what - NO PRIZE CAR AT ALL.
Shenanigans on OP and all others for this thread is bogus!
Park a PORSCHE Boxster & the equivalent RUF model in the same colour next to each other, remove/cover all the badges on both, take a pic & tell me which is which!
If it quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck & looks like a duck, by this threads reasoning, it must be a pig!
End of argument.

RUF buys Porsche bodies in white and builds them to their or their customers specifications.
Thank you!
Argument settled!
