After playing Shift 2 since the first day it came out, I decided to play GT5 today (haven't played in like 2 weeks), well, I can't drive anymore. I tried the Lambo seasonal and I'm fighting for last.

GT5 is ULTRA easy, except for maybe 3-4 races (Like the Wind, historical cars from the 1960...) but man, I keep spinning out and hitting the fences. I guess I'll have to re-learn how to drive in the game... time to pop out the Fiat 500 !

Yes, physics are very different... they're are both very similar and different in many of the aspects of the game. It's incredible, though, how good Shift 2 is as an overall racing game.

Everyday, I play a little bit of GT5, F1 2010, and now Shift 2 and DiRT 2 and I guess I'm pretty good at differentiating and adapting to the differing physics in each game.

I find it easy to adapt. Maybe just one lap that is pretty average then I am doing the same times as I was doing before.

Dirt2 is amazing, Can't wait for Dirt3.

Same here.

I don't find it that hard to adapt to different games even if I'm switching back and forth constantly... I won't allow myself to play more than 3 driving games at a time

First runs are hell to do but i can transition from Shift2 to GT5 quite easily.

I find it more difficult to jump from on car to another :D

I've had the same issue when playing the Hot Pursuit 3 demo and mainly for driving in GTA4 a lot messed up my driving simulator skills. So I started swerving back to back slamming into the walls and causing car crashes on the track.

Yep, did the same lambo seasonal. The first lap was a surprise then i just felt at home, felt so right. I finally realized i was trying so hard to appreciate shift2 but it just does not feel right specially with high HP cars.

For those who say it's easier on gt5, i disagree you'll have to be way more careful on braking, throttle and steering inputs on GT5. Shift 2 just felt short, some guy said it's in between shift1 and gt5, and now i agree.

Got into some rally stages on dirt2 and it felt great as well.

I think i'm done with shift2, i'm on 24% percent so i tried to figure out what was so good about the game but just could not find it.

Hmmm, that's odd. I would have thought that it would be easy to go from S2U back to GT5 compared to the other way around. I don't know, I haven't tried it. I refuse to play GT5 anymore. Its been in its case since late Dec. Before I saw this thread I was just thinking that if you can race in S2U, you can destroy the A.I. in GT.

I have my work cut out for me to win in S2U. In GT5, I can just get the same level car as the A.I. and win with no competition. The racing aspect is a joke between the two games. Its night and day.
