I finisihed S7!

After 2 days of agony i finally did it.

My heart was beating so fast i thought i was gonna get a heart attack..i was concentrating so hard my eyes hurt.

The tuned 111R worked for me.. on the 2nd lap i was up to 4th and i knew i had to at least come in 3rd. Up to the 3rd lap i overtook the Amuse S2000 and on the 4th lap i overtook the Z06 on the first bend after the long straight.

no penalties ( whew), and average lap times of 1.42-1.43ish.

It feels amazing to have done it...2nd place and with a timing of 8'42.333. Nothing to shout about i know, but damn, it feels good!

I did all the higher PP races with the Mines GTR that I had to buy for the Daytona S class event.
 
I managed to get lap times of 1.40ish with the Nissan GT-R, but that was after i got my silver. The GT-R, while fast, is abit too lairy in the bends to get consistent timings. It likes going sideways. alot.

I found it was even more exciting than S7..
 
Does the AI get de rated to 700 points???
I purchased the Amuse S200 Turbo and then entereed this race only to be told my value was too high to enter. O.K fair enough I think and head of to the quick tune to lower the Value. I had to drop power and Downforce and add weight to get 700 entry points.
Enter the race ( I had lowered the gearing) I got smoked in acceleration on the straights by the AI Amuse's.
That Ford GT LM is also very quick.
I fiddled a bit more with settings balance for 700 points, dropped the power, added some more weight and added some downforce and managed a first place, but the AI cars still had a straight line advantage in speed.
Any body else noticed this.

I also think the Tuned Elise 111R is better for this event.
 
I found the S class pretty weird... When I was down to 2 races to go I found I'd attempt them for ages and really struggle and not beat 4th... then both times I ended up coming second no problems at all.

I think a lot of it is down to timing with the other cars.. you can struggle and race just as fast as previously but end up with some of the AI cars doing not so well and breezing it.

Congrats on clearing it though!
