I don't like the F090 and I don't care who agrees.

Yeah. I just did the Formula GT in it and could barely keep up with the F094. Any track that depended a lot on the car's speed was hopeless against it. I qualified first for every race but was in fourth place by the first turn on almost every track.

So this morning I started the series again in an F687S and can tell just from qualifying at Midfield that I'm going to have an easy time of it compared to last time.
 
Sounds like a personal problem (: The F090 is actually a pretty good car, but the F094 is obviously better. It's four years newer, for starters. And just because you aren't leading at the begining of the race doesn't mean the car sucks.

The F090/s is a great car. As a matter of fact, I essentially won the game with it because 1) i was highly unlucky and didn't win too many other F1 rides and 2) because it's easy to drive (like any F1 car in the game). It doesn't suck. It easily holds its own in the last series. My advice is to get better, keep trying, and stop making threads proclaiming your incapabilities.

Actually, I can play just fine. And I don't need you, whoever you are, telling me what to do. I just wanted to complain about an F1 that I don't like. I won the series in it. I just think it sucks compared to other F1 cars in the game and would've had more fun in another one, like I'm doing now.

And just because you aren't leading at the begining of the race doesn't mean the car sucks.

I only said that to illustrate how slow it is. Of course I caught up eventually. It is just slow compared to the other F1's I was against.

OK....what contradiction...

the title of this thread is "The F090 is a P.O.S.". Last time I checked POS stood for: piece o' ****. What purpose does this thread have? You're complaining (i'd like to say b!tching, but I'll probably be reprimanded) about something that you won the last series in. You don't think that it matches up to the other F1s. Whoop-dee-friggin'-do! Not many of our newer members have driven the F1s yet and for you to flat out and say the F090/s is a piece of crap (for the lack of a better word...) is unfair to the newbies. How about you let them decide instead of you making a useless thread for the sole purpose of instilling your personal preferences into others?
 
Out of curiousity, RR, why are you singling this thread out instead of any one of a dozen others? Yes, they're redundant; yes, they don't go very far in a discussion, but people make threads like this all the time about a particular car. I don't see the need to stop that unless it is a duplicate thread, which as far as I see this isn't.
 
Out of curiosity...how many threads do YOU SEE on the first page of Gran Turismo 3 that feature complaints about cars? Quite frankly, I don't see any. :rolleyes: But perhaps you would like to point me in the right direction so I know where to look. Thanks.

What milefile is saying is perfectly valid.

Anybody who knows anything can tell you that comparisons, by definition, are relative. You're comparing A to B. In this thread, milefile is comparing the F090/S to the other F1 cars. He has a perfectly valid opinion. Even if you don't agree with him, his position can be easily backed up. The F090/S has 104 HP less than any other F1 car. They all weigh the same, but the F090/S has between 15% and 34% less power than all the others.

Sure, you can easily say the F090/S is still a good car. Every F1 car is much better than every other car. The only non-F1 cars I've ever heard of winning the Formula GT are the R390 and the 787B, and the only way they can possibly win is by running harder tires than F1 cars are allowed to use and pitting less.

These are some extremely strange statements. Why are you so concerned about what impression newer members get of the F090/S? If you look around the board, you will get the clear idea that any F1 car can win any race it can enter, most by a huge margin. It has been seen many times that people who don't want a challenge will just run Super Speedway Endurance until they get the F090/S. I don't see any evidence of new members getting the wrong idea about the F090/S.

If you're going to start bítching about every thread where people talk about their personal preferences, you've really got your work cut out for you, so I'll let you get to it! :D
 
Well, you should just consider yourself lucky you guys in NTSC got 6 F1 cars, as we only got 2...:irked: So don't take those extra 4 for granted. :|

I don't know, i never had a problem with it... I had no difficulty to do F-GT in the F090S, and i had both F094's against me.

If anything, i think it's funnier and more challenging to pick an underdog (if we can call any F1 an underdog...)
 
I actually agree with milefile, of the F1's the F090 is the one with the least power. It counts a LOT on the driver's luck and extreme skill. The F094's are a good bit easier ti drive, faster, and handle better. The 0-94/s being the stand-out. The turbo V-6 cars are truly awesome, but they are kind of beastly, when compared to the finesse of the V-10 cars, even the F090.

In terms of the series, I've heard an R390 and TS020 winning. In terms of individual races, I've heard of a 787B, Pagani Zonda Race Car and Denso/Castrol Supra...!
 
it sounds like this guy doesnt know how to drive the f090
despite the fact it steers very easily, a lot of people think its an easy car to use. In fact it takes a while to control it like your fingers, which is essential when it comes to racing other f1's. it sounds like this guy cant drive :lol:

I personally love the F090/S. If the F094/H weren't so pretty,:sly: the F090/S would be my favorite F-1. I like the fact that it has the least amount of power of all the F-1's. The others, most of the time, have too much power. I can also win the F-1 series easily with this car. I don't win every single race (the F686/M and F/094's are just too fast), but I usually dominate on points. That would be boring to win every race anyway. I also love the sound of the V-10 cars and the fact that they are easier on tires that the V-6 turbos.

In fact, this car had me wishing that there were smaller F-1 types with even less horsepower. :D I also love the Opel Speedster and the Lotus Elise. I think it would be cool to have an F-1 type car with this power level (180-220 hp.)

*I know that a few people are probably going to tear into me for that one.

You're an idiot. The F090 is the slowest F1. Period. For that reason I wanted to complain. So it sounds good? I disagree. So it's easier on ties? Big deal. I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself before morons like you shut up.

If you insist that I can't drive put your money where your mouth is, you asshat. Or are you just talking out your ass? Probably. :rolleyes:

And try using a capital letter or a period every now and again.
 
Well, since you can win the Formula GT Championship with the F090/S, I'm going to try to win one for my stables. Even if it's the slowest, it sounds as if it's a challenge that's worth the trouble.

As said before, we all have opinions, and like gym socks, most opinions stink. (At least, that's the nice way to put it...) However, I do think the F090/S is probably the best-looking F1 car. But that's just my view.
 
I never care what the cars look like, at least not like I care how they drive. I never save or watch replays. The only time I even see the car is when I get in it or change the oil.
 
Whoa, Milefile sure hates the fo9o's. I think it's an great car. Good handling, Acceleration. But it was really unneeded in a Gran Turismo Game. It's way to much overkill.
 
Thats just dumb. Not needed in a gran turismo game?

So are we suppose to keep the genre its same bland self every sequel? I'd like to see it encompass every form of racing. Would you prefer having no Rally racing? Or should we stick to original Gran Turismo game play?

I'd personally like to see Rally, F1, Drag, Oval ( As in more oval tracks and an oval only series.) All in Gt4, there all very different and very important forms of motorsports. Not everyone has the same tastes as you, so the best wasy is to just include everything, so sony sells more copys, makes mroe money and can make better products and games.
 
It seems odd to me (or oddly amusing) that you would post a message with the title 'I don't like the F090 and I don't care who agrees' and yet get very irate when people didn't agree with you. I suppose you are true to your post because you're jumping on those who disagree. A man of your word. Good for you.

Manic? But seriously, ..... compared to the other F-1's my personal opinion is the F094 was the best, with the F090/s being second. I found that the other two F-1's were too heavy and took too long to brake compared to the other two. I could/can beat any race that allows the F-1's with the F090/s so it can't suck too bad, eh? I guess it's all relative, eh Milefile? Many people hate the Spoon S2000, frankly I find it to be one of the most enjoyable cars to drive, once you learn how to drive it.

In general f1 are not that great. They do what they were engineered to do, but IMO it would have been wonderful if driving your f1 was more realistic. For instance, if the bottom could hit the ground under cornerlaods or incorrectly pressureized tires and force you to skid because of incorrect calibrations. However, none of this exists. Leaving me to state that f1's are boring.

The same arguement could be made for wheels travelling through body shells. :irked:
