The X1 doesn't show how crappy other cars are... IMO it shows how crappy it is and how much it doesn't belong in the game. Besides, anyone who wins this car and thinks GT5 has nothing else to offer should stick to games like NFS and Burnout where the games are soul-less and the cars mean nothing. GT5 is a driver's game for someone who appreciates cars and Gran Turismo far too much to let something so silly like the X1 ruin the the game.

Nothing about this car is interesting to me (especially online, where nobody knows how to ****ing drive it) and I'm pretty disheartened that PD included it in the final version of GT5. I'm afraid future sequels will always have this **** stain of a "car" in it.

Isn't she a crazy racing machine? Congratulations on getting your Red Bull X2010! It's hard to win those events in the Sebastien Vettel challenges, but not impossible. I got Bronze in all three challenges. Once you get the X2010, you obviously want to know how it would handle various race tracks. I'm sorry- that car is just too damned powerful and capable. I always described it as a WipEout ship, only bound by gravity while having tires and a rear wing.

Enjoy your Red Bull X2010! :)

Don't drive it in the Indianapolis 500 endurance race...

My fingers ached from it with the vibrations every second! Thank the lord for the long, slow pitstops! :dopey:

Power limit it to 50% and add 200 kg of ballast, once you get used to that, remove 50-100kg of ballast, and keep adding power/removing ballast until you get to max power and and minimum weight and can drive it 👍

Body building approach. :sly:

A lot of people bash the X2010 as an unrealistic car. However, I have zero doubt it could be built and perform exactly as it does in the game. It was designed by Adrian Newey who is considered by most to be the greatest car designer in the history of Formula One. He has multiple F1 championships to his credit, including the defending champion Red Bull team.

Even a modern F1 car with all the regulations and restrictions imposed on the design generates enough downforce to allow the capability of driving upside down (proven in many computer simulations). I see no reason why Newey's X2010, built purely for speed and grip, unfettered by regulations, could not be built. I consider it a real car, and though there is not much practical use for it other than grinding, it's a pretty fun car to drive.

Ohh I dunno, when the 6-7 of us were competing for lap times around GVE, everyone seemed to be driving it pretty damn well. Not once was there a problem with ramming or bumping and whatnot. People can in fact drive it, people can infact drive it well. If you dont like it, dont use it, there are 1000 other cars for you to use, PD were just giving variety. Yes, it may well be in future sequels, but again, no one is forcing you to use it.

This guy is exactly right.. Adrian designed the car thinking of 'the future of motorsport'. It is not some pipe dream with unrealistic technology, it is what could be made if their was a driver that would attempt to drive it in real life..

As far as difficulty goes, personally i didnt find it that hard at all.. Anyone who has played F1 2010 on ps3 with no driver aids will no exactly how hard it is to drive a high powered, high downforce, open wheeled car.. Even the f1 car in the GT5 is comparable i believe..

I assume that you dont own a wheel, otherwise you wouldnt be using your ds3.. if you want to attempt to make sense of the X2010, buy a wheel, and have a go at it with that.. It truly is an amazing part of the game and is one of my favourite things to do laps in, racing around monaco in it is an amazing experience!!!
