"Hey baby, let me take a picture of it on your hand so I can show people on the internets!"

;)

Congratulations man!

Wheres the rest of her?!

1 year? Holy crap man, do you know how many girls I'd be married to if I had proposed after the 1st year? You've got balls man, big brass ones. I've been with mine for almost 5 years and all she has is a "shut her up" promise ring.

Congrats though, and best of luck! 👍

Best wishes to you both.

By the way... congratulations is what you say when someone tells you they are pregnant. "Best wishes" is for marriage.

But they aren't married yet, so congrats is for the engagement!

Thanks guys. And I think we'll be ok, I mean we haven't argued, had a fight or yelled at each other in a year so I see this as a good thing. :)

Seriously though, marrying my wife was the smartest thing I ever did. Best wishes on a great future together.

Now, for the next year or whatever be prepared to just be getting in the way as she and her mother plan your her wedding. Your job is to say yes, until she changes her mind and then you also agree that it was probably a bad idea in hindsight.

Good luck to you. Just got married myself a week ago.:scared::sly:

Make sure she's aware of when gt5 is released. She's gonna lose you for a while :)

OMG WHY is what you say for an engagement.
I lol'd

No. Then she'll think you felt the previous idea was actually bad and that you were lying about it. In my opinion, the best response would be "this new idea is fantastic." If she asks about the previous one, you respond with "it was a great idea too, but this one just seems to suit us better" or something equally vague and positive.

Of course, I learned this from my high school English teacher, when he told us about how "do you like my new haircut?" is, in fact, a lose-lose question? Why? If you say "yes, it is great" she assumes you didn't like the previous one, and well, you know you can't say "I'm not really fond of it" because then she'll regret getting it cut at all.

Wisdom from the wise :sly:

Just don't do what I do way too frequently.

Ms. FK: I got my hair cut today.
FK: You did? :ouch:
