That would be correct; it's the high/low beam switch.I'm thinking that button on the floor might be the high beams, but I'm not too sure.
Same can be said about your Festiva.Oh shush. Lol. I ment, uh, we dont get them here anymore, yeah that's right.![]()
Paint Over Rust (POR-17) can be your friend. It's rather like epoxy paint that chemically bonds to the rust and stops it from progressing further, if you do it right.Anyways, to me it seems that you have to take the seats and such off and start rubbing that rust off.
Yes, it does, my Blitz on the front needs to be redone, as do the chrome bumpers. Me and my friend thought about welding some sheet steel to either side of the floorboard, sandwiching the rust between it.You're a very lucky man!
I pulled up next to an opel GT at a red light just last week! Had trouble identifying it, but my dad was in the car with me and he knew. Does this one also have the fuel refiller cap in the middle of the boot? Looks awesome!

Actually, it weighs just over a ton, at 2105lbs, but, if your talking a metric tonne, then yes, its under, at 954kg(I think).Opel GT? that's a damn nice car.. Light, RWD, no nannies, sleek coupe.. but be prepared for pretty hefty consumption. if it is even near of my 1.6l '82 Ford, it'll need some adjustments. on the other hand, my Ford weights as much as pregnant whale, where as your GT weights.. what, under a ton?
Anyways, to me it seems that you have to take the seats and such off and start rubbing that rust off. actually, it seems to be that bad that you need to cut the floor panels off and put some fresh metal there. otherwise, it's in remarkably good shape. but, as soon as you get it running, you should keep it mint, because it is wirth of many thousand dollars.. atleast in here it would be.
