hehe, my rotary is something a little different, it's an N/A rotary. low-power and awesome response.

but my car isn't near as stock as yours lol. notice how the tires stick out past the fender? have fun keeping up with 1900lbs of car on that much rubber :lol:

Now if you wanna race, my 240 ain't doing it, but I do have a Camaro that would love to have you for lunch.:trouble:
 
hehe, yes..my car is a Touge/Autocross machine. an old camaro may match me on the straights, but the balance just ain't there. you'll have to play catch up after the first serious turn.
 
Unless of course, you're David Adams, a person who has undergone instructor training at Hokuri Shin's School of Specialized Driving, but not everyone can be him.:D
 
i've attended 2 local SCCA driving schools, and won a few awards(trophys) with my autocross talents :cool:

Okay, okay, you win, you've impressed me first. But that's only because I haven't been lucky enough to get SCCA schooling. My drift instructor, took a bunch of SCCA classes when he visited the states, but that's the closest I've got.
 
nice choice. the owner of this legal meet he hosts down here (street legal imports) was/is selling his s14 with an rb25dett for 12000 dollars. thats pretty good concerning the kinda work he does on cars (pure racing mods) but his parents are making him sell it for college tuition. check it out on autotrader and search for a 240sx 75 miles from zip code 33025 under 20000. trust me, that guy has credentials

also that KA24E engine has to go!! (why did they screw up the 180's in the US???:confused: ). its strange to see these US version Japanese cars and how nissan ruined the heart of the car. only option is to repair that heart. ((it hurts me to see a KA24E in there, oh and whats with the seat belts why is it only america they bring out those gay seat belts?)

SR20DET is the best option (for a 180sx), great performance, great weight distribution. RB series engines knocks them out of whack abit, but great for straight line performance
 
I totally agree with you, the engine is a goner. But, you and I and everyone in this thread knows that money doesn't just sprout overnight, so I have to wait until I can afford a 1500 dollar engine plus the price of shipping and other parts.

I do have to disagree with the seatbelts, I love my seat belts, when I was chasing that stratus around the seatbelts would tighten up everytime I punched it off of the line or slammed the brakes. I thought that was totally cool.

Oh well, different folks different strokes.

oh yes, i understand money doesnt grow on trees, when i said the KA24 has to go, i meant if you plan to have the car a serious performer

as for the seat belts, personally i have never tried them, i suppose they would be good when fastened, they look strange when they are slid forward like that and awkward. my 180sx (and all Japanese models i suppose) never had them

We'll see if a 215 hp Stratus R/T can stay away from, or keep up with a 186hp 240sx. Oh yeah, just got it off of the rollers at the motor pool. Total rear wheel hp was 185.953.


Yeah, it's weak, but now I have new hope, I'm gonna go ahead and get the headers and exhaust for now. But don't worry guys, I'm gonna get the SR20.

186 HP is weak? What are you smoking? My car had 108 HP when it was new, in 1985. And I can still get it sideways and win the occasional touge battle.

We're still on, I just got my plates put on the car, so I just got through driving all over DC and up into Maryland.



It was scary but fun at the same time. I was lost, but . . .then again . . . .I was lost in a 240.:lol: :lol:
