I Hate Karts!

Did I say that I hate karts? Yup. I can't stand them. And stupid me, I skipped ALL the karting events. I figured I would do them when I got a little bored and had finished all the proper racing events in Career Mode. That probably wasn't a smart idea considering the newer, more agressive A.I. I'm not making excuses. I know that I'm not very good with karts to begin with, but I would really like to strangle these A.I. drivers in these dumb events. Ugh...Why didn't I just tackle these dumb events from the get go? Because I'm an idiot. That's why!! :drool::eek::dunce:

Does anyone actually like karting in GT6? Do you actually race karts outside of Career Mode?
 
S.N.A.I.L. runs a karting series on Tuesday nights, try that.
 
I like the karts, most of those races are pretty easy, a couple of the ones in GT Arena took a few tries just to come to grips with the track layout but still not that hard.

I love driving the karts on some tracks, especially the shifter karts, they are a lot of fun.
 
I'm with you ALB123. I'm not a fan of the karts either.

Done all of them up to the 125 shifters. I hate that series. Done 1 race and gave up after that. I just cant come to grips with them.
 
I finally just did the 125 Shifter Kart Championship. I won races 1 & 2 and came in 2nd at GT Arena. I just re-ran that race and won, thank God, so I can be done with that series. Who knows? Maybe some day I'll get bored of just driving cars and I'll take my kart out for a spin. I don't see that happening any time soon though... Heh...
 
Try Shifter Karts on the Nurburgring 24h track. It's very intense! At 1st i found Karts to be a pain but after a certain update (Forgot which one) it made it a lot easier for me. Loved them in GT5 too. some tracks in the championships arent really the best for karting...

I finally just did the 125 Shifter Kart Championship. I won races 1 & 2 and came in 2nd at GT Arena. I just re-ran that race and won, thank God, so I can be done with that series. Who knows? Easy to chuck about, lively, close, entertaining.

Pretty much everything I look for when racing.
 
I dont like carts very much either. But I am still very happy for them being inside GT6. Just because that way you can experience something different.

So GT offers something for everybody: street cars of all kinds, racing cars of all kinds, rallye cars, .....

For me that makes GT still unique. Unfortunately GT6 is not making use of all this different cars in offline mode. After finishing the career there is only very little to do.
 
Be thankful this is GT6. In GT5 1.0 maybe since the Physics made the karts abit floaty, But GT6 is amazing. Try adapting to the karts first.
 
I would imagine that the karts are a bit tricky to drive with a controller. They are great with a wheel.
I haven't driven them on a lot of tracks aside from the ones in career mode but found them to be a lot of fun on Nurburgring and Trail Mountain.

I wonder why PD does not open the Francorchamps kart circuit. It seems to be in the game, at least it is clearly visible and a very nice track (you can find it on the inside of Stavelot).
 
Karts... are... the best!
Probably the first thing I drive to get warmed up for a track! And I run them online every Tuesday night!
 
Hate them and have avoided all the events. I am glad to have them in the game though since they are track equipment and simply expand the choices you have. Had the universe to get sucked in on itself in another Big Bang like event known as the Big Suck In, I would still be happy I never did the Kart events.
 
Karts are a bit boring in GT6 because of the horrible sounds. In real life karting is incredible fun! :bowdown:
 
Use SRF and traction control at 3, 4 or 5... with these settings its like playing mario kart.. i mean... lol

Is it me the only that fins the old senna kart to have better handling than the PD ones? :lol:
 
In GT5 I was able to add a shifter and boost the power of the karts and change tires and brake balance. IMO they handled much better with SH or SM tires with a front biased BB. I think the SS tires they come with really mess with the handling physics.
 
I used to hate them in GT5 but despite the frustration with them in the Red Bull events, I actually like them in GT6. I don't race them regularly as I don't really find rooms with them (that and I haven't done much serious racing since I tend to get disconnected a lot)
 
Only some online races with friends in GT5 with karts outside GT5 and GT6 career mode. Actually I don`t care about virtual karts. I like karting IRL though. :D
