Yesterday I downloaded iMesh to download PhotoShop 7.0 (full trial :D) and I downloaded PhotoShop and I tryed to get on the net but I couldent! I thought that it was a "temporary" problem. :thatsodd: So, I got home from school, and got on to try to get on the net still it would not work. So I go and try to reset the router and the modem and all of the computers 4 times and still would not work. :reallyodd :reallyodd So I was begaining to think it was the iMesh program, So I switched computers to the one I'm using now to type this (133 MHZ 1 gig  (super crappy)) And the net worked. :reallyodd  . What the he*l is the problem with my computer? The iMesh program was the problem I even uninstalled it. I know my other computer is being gay.

What the he*l?

OK...the net doesn't work...how? Is the PC not recognizing the modem? Are you getting a dial tone? Have you tried retyping the password?

Great widom was once bestowed upon me...

ok..i think i know the problem...

Step.1 get new pc
step.2 throw out old non-working pc
step.3get better keybord

Actually, the saying goes something like this ...

I think the problem exists between the keyboard and the chair.

Step 1 - Find a website to improve your spelling and grammar. This will require using your Super ****ty Pus Box.
Step 2 - Write in to a computer magazine. They will now understand your sentences.

I shall rip you off and ditto that remark.

In general, computers don't "not work" just because... Of course, Windows in more than well known for sometimes erradic (sp?) behavior, but rarely in this sense.

Of course, one could always buy a Ma-- oh, never mind. :smilewink

Okay - so you can get on the net on your super crappy computer but not on your 'supposedly' better one?

Um - is your modem even installed.
Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Modems.

Either that, something is wrong with the computer (no suprise there ) or it definately is a 'user problem'.

Yeah, but do you have a photoshopped picture to back it up?

Yeah, didn't think so. :D

Perhaps your network card took a poo. Also, check that your internet connection options are set so that it will never try to dial a connection.

I got an email attachment that f'ed up my computer a few months ago. The only symptom I saw was not being able to get on the internet. And I have cable, too. At first I assumed it was an outage but after a while I called and while on hold I used the "Go Back" feature on my Gateway computer for the first time. I had it go back to a couple hours before I opened the email and everything has been fine ever since.

Norton AntiVirus has a feature that will check your email as it's loaded. It's designed to stop a virus laden email before it gets to your system. It seems to work well; it has stopped one virus so far for me. Of course, it only works well if you keep your virus definitions up-to-date. :)

the go back funtion is my best friend, every time i make a super error (horror) it fix the problem so easy.

the last time my pc didn't work don't even shut down, (i'm sura was a hacker or a few of them) any buttom was enable to use.but i push the power buttom and thats it.
when my pc restart i press the "space bar" and go-back do everything for me.

sound easy but that take me 3 hours (may be more) to figure out how to solve it.(i don't be a pc expert)

Use Lavasoft Ad-ware. It scans your e-mails and everything and then finds the source of the virus. BOOM! Gone.

And where is the "go back" feature...I might be able to fix my old Packard Bell (100 MHz of power, baby!)
