in the amatuer League the European Championship i keep winning the Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec II (R34) i don't wan't it

Welcome to Gtp!!!!

well save it on 4th race,if you dont get, reload and try again

That's exactly what i do.

I printed the car prize list so I could work out which cars I haven't got. (see Jordans thread on main page) :gcar:

Sometimes you have to sit there Re-loading for ages before the car you want comes up but heck it's well worth it.....

Good Luck gettin all your Dream Cars (Use the ''Save on 2nd last Race and Reload technique'' if you haven't got the Polyphony 001 yet).

I didn't know anyone used that sneeky trick that I like. Great Minds think alike ey DessViperV-10 ?

We should drink to that dudes :drink:, have a pint on me.....

welcome bradley to GTPlanet, if you repeat the series race then you could get the toyota gt one car, i think model no, TS020.

like the others, m8, check the pr5ize car list, very useful!!!

When the prize cars are displayed there is a dark circle moving around underneath them. Press X when the circle is under the car you want. It's kind of tough beacuse you have less than half a second.

OMG, this is explained so many times, but it's great that people still explain it for the newbies that frequently appear :burnout:

yes, sue that save "loophole". It works wonders :cheeburga

Pressing the X while the black dot is under the car never worked for me, and I know that car selection is completely random unless you do the save trick, and still you gotta try a few times to get your car.

i use the save before last race trick too, very usefull. does that X when circle is under your car thing really work?
and i did the tokyo enduro and half way through it said 'saved' does that mean it saves you in the middle of the race?

no that just means that the PS2 has used up its memory for saving the replay. Meaning that there will be no more replay of the race from that point when you watch it.

I'll have to try the 'X' trick some time, but I suspect it is only coincidence when it works.

AFAIK the car selection is randomized based upon your elapsed time. When I was trying to win the Camaro racer I had to run radically different distances around the track before exiting the race, or I kept getting TTs. Try running a few seconds, and if that doesn't give you the car you're looking for, then run half a lap or more and try again.

For instance....

Last night I ran this championship. I was looking to win the Elise.

I was judging my Elasped time on when the display for the track faded away. After hitting the start button and before the countdown starts. I managed to win three Vertigos, two minis, and three Skylines, before I was awarded the Elise.

I've never held much faith in the Press 'X' theory, but sometimes I can't stop myself. On a side note, is there a correlation between the trophy and the car awarded?

Hey, AO, do you use Instant Messenger? It might be easier for us!
:smilewink
When I was trying for the Camaro racer, I didn't notice any correlation between trophy and car. I got at least 3 different trophies, but the TT every time.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying about estimating your elapsed time from the image of the track. I just took the green fromn 6th, then ran differing lengths around the track before exiting. I tried varying my field position too but I did not notice any effect.

Yes, I do use Im.

Check your PM and you'll find the info.

It's been proven many times on many boards that the "X" button trick won't work... is it just a coincidence that 25% of the time it works? ;)

Much like a broken watch. It's right at least twice a day.
