i just noticed this while beating the Tourist thing in Beginner.

if you watch the boostometer, the pressure drops like a brcik at around 5500 rpm. i really hate this car (or, more specifically, its performance), as has been said in my other TT thread, and i now know why. i know you can't adjust the compressor settings, but is there any way someone knows of that i can change this? i've heard people say good stuff about this car, and i don't really like being left out. ;)

Good things IRL or good in the game?

Personally I dont like the TT one bit in the game or IRL

In the game it handles too much like a FWD car even if i set the vcd to 90% rear. To understeery and yeah that turbocharger issue.

Odd though the audi TT was quite a nice car in GT2 in comparison.

Although this is the TT I like the most

V8 and Rwd just how the roadcar should be ;)

more so in real life than in the game, but i was referring to the game.

is it too much to ask that America gets GTC sometime soon? is it?!

I know what you mean the TT does seem a bit gutless in the handling and engine department. The TT in GT2 was great car, I used to rip up imprezas and Lancers with it, I doubt the GT3 version would be able to do the same.

i never did like that car, but the GT2 version was pretty good.
i used the LM in an endurance race, i forget which one, and one by like 10 laps.

I just meant the Tuned roadcar with the racing modifcation. That was one of my fav ralliers, well and my impreza estate.

yes. yes i have.
there isn't much difference when it's tuned, either.

i also tried setting the VCD to the rear, and it still doesn't help.

I like the little Audi TT. I found that it handles best with VCD set to 10%. One reason the boost drops off is because you dont have the top of the line turbo. Stages 1-4 turbo's give power in teir own specific range, 1 being good low end torque from off idle to about 3500rpm, which is a nice addition to a high revving torqueless VTEC Honda or something smimilar. stage 2 is around 2000-5000, Stage 3 is around 2500-6000 and stage 4 is in that last 2 or 3000 rpms of your tach. The higher RPM you produce torque the higher your Hp, so your peak Hp will go up if you get a stage 4 turbo, but you wont have much torque at low rpms. I'll bet if you buy the stage 4 turbo for that Audi you will not see the Boost gauge drop at all....

the TT i discovered this with has the best turbo available, which is (i think) stage 3.

I got a TT dialed in to be a hot little number, with the VCD set around 30%, I believe. I rather enjoy the car.

The first key to success is to put it on a diet with Lightweight 1, 2, and probably 3.

Racing suspension helps you tweak out the understeer, and racing transmission helps you let the engine wind out a little longer.

In the second TT series, the competition definitely runs Stage 3 turbo, because with Stage 1 or 2 (I fergit) I can leave them from the line, but on long straights they can blow by me like a cool breeze.

I need to try the old GT2 audi TT (infact I just need to play GT2 again period) and compare it. In gt2 the TT feels very nice with lots of torque (fully tuned) and it handled like a 4wd car. In gt3 the TT just seems sluggish and understeery. Maybe I should work with the settings a bit more, I never realy did play with the settings enough.

Everyone take their Audi TT onto Grand Valley and post your times, dont forget to include your upgrades and the Hp. I am going to do it right now....

Its only 335bhp??
I swear It had a bit more power than that?
Ok I will give my TT a lil run and settings at Grand Valley when I get back home.

hey 12sec. Civic, my TT with stage 3 turbo was 4xxhp so I installed a stage 2 turbo just to match your car a bit ^_^

my Grand Valley time with Stage 2 turbo (342hp), with super slicks (T2), fully tuned suspensions etc and did 2'04.305 after a few tries.

I like the GT3 :audi: TT, but agree it is a bit well Squishy? However the racing :chkflag: version in GTC is the beast :smilewink Even untuned it whoops the :vauxhall: and :mercedes: DTM rivals :car::gcar:..

When I said I had the Stage 3 it is because I knew there was a higher turbo so I thought it would be stage 4. I also dont have the Engine Balance because I am not paying $14,000 for 7hp. Other than the Stage 3 Turbo and Engine Balance and Stage 3 Lightweight, I have every mod, and T3's

My TT has stage 2 turbo, semi-racing suspension, racing gearbox (thingy), racing exhaust, lightweight stage 1.

it runs nicely. yes it is a bit slow but the handling is pretty good. Think u guys just need to play with ya settings.
will do the grand valley run tomorrow maybe :)

I even blitzed the amature (?) races with this setting.

oops, I ran trail mountain instead of grand valley this morn...

anthow i got 1,38,xx.... sounds like an ok time, not great tho but I didnt want to spend too much time on it. :)

modded fully, VCD to 90% rear, supersoft on front and racing slicks on the back, i was able to drift the little biatch enough to flip out a 1:57:02 and a 1:59.21 on Grand Valley. everything else was over 2 min.

i noticed similar results on sluggish steering with the 3000GT... decent car, but wild to tame--still has its traditional countersteering like a mofo..
