WAY TO GO FISHING FOR COMPLIMENTS CHRIS!!!

honestly the nerve of some people

I found that resisting the urge to try and only use cars you win very helpful, sometimes you just gotta spend spend spend.

gotta add you on psn didn't realize you had a ps3

 Thanks, John. PSN is Tinker_Gnome. I don't have a headset. yet.

Thanks for all of the input.

I've changed the accelerator and brake to the left and right triggers, which has helped a great deal.

I stared by turning off everything and taking the Hommell Berlinette around Le Mans, but the car was uncontrollable. Silly me, I was driving in a torrential downpour.

I have one driving aid still on, but I'm not sure which one it is. I'm getting a little better, but still manage to make a bunch of really irritating mistakes.

I'll be sure to turn the skid recovery off.

I've been driving the wheels off of the Mugen Motul Civic Si. Two thirds of the distance I've driven in this game are on that one car. I've been credit farming on the seasonal events and hopefully polishing my skills.

Yet for the life of me, I cannot seem to wrangle the RUF BTR2 around a track.

Is there some secret to the tarmac rally stages? I've been doing the intermediate rally challenges in the Escort Rally Car, dominating the competition in the snow and handily winning on gravel. Yet - I lose my shirt on tarmac. I don't understand it.

I'm a broke recent college grad - I cant afford a racing wheel.

The Historic Racing Car Cup is very hard to win without the proper resources, don't be so surprised that you can't win in those cars. You need a Toyota 7 to be able to really win the races.

The BTR by the way is expected to be hugely difficult to control, it is RR and therefore acts as such.

With the rallies I actually tend to struggle on gravel instead  Tarmac shouldn't be too bad without aids. You don't need them with the 4WD rally cars.

I have played this game for a year straight and I still suck.

First of all getting all golds with a DS3 is impossible unless you are one of the top players in the world.

But silvers are possible. Each event and license test seems to have a magic set of settings that makes it reasonably achievable. Jack up steering sensitivity, put steering assist to mild, but don't use SRF (no excuse for using that ;)
