I need help finding the perfect shooting game for my PS2

These are the things I want for it:

Good control playing

Fun alone and fun with 2P

Good Story

and action with violence.

If you know a game like that, tell me. PLEASE!!

Hmm...GTA San Andreas:

Good control / Check

Fun alone and 2 players / Check

Good Story / Check

Action with violence / Check

I have it already, I need pure shooting and moving.
ohh and killing

But thanks anyway 👍

listen to toronado
the timecrisis games are sooooo good especially if you have a light gun

Black has killer gameplay (amazing damage physics, explosions, and rag-doll enemy physics), but the story's dull as dirt. Every cutscene is a boring interrogation.

Yup, Black is amazing! Also Time Splitters is always good fun with a few mates round. Also good on your own, but better with mates.

Can't be bothered checking out all those criteria but since it's been mentioned already i'll have to back up Cyborg on this one in suggesting Killzone. GREAT first person shooter!

Black I think just has pretty graphics and physics. It's story sucks and the gameplay is alright, but only the explosions and sounds make up for it.

killzone.

the arcade mode is really difficult! the story is solid, and man, overall, one of my top favorites. plus, you can pick it up pretty cheap now

Unreal Tournament
I wouldn't think Medal of Honor would be a good one since there is so many. But I believe to have a good match, you must do a link 2 ps2's together though split screen is commonly boring.

Except for 2-player capability I'd say GUN
However it has little replay value, unless you happen to be obsessive about maxing out your stats.

Does 'Killzone' have the things I want for it?
Remember

*Good control playing

*Fun alone and fun with 2P

*Good Story

*and action with violence.

Killzone here too.

*Good control playing Check - Pretty flexible since I was able to get it to be just like RSV2

*Fun alone and fun with 2P Check - Played it with Blackbird before.

*Good Story Check - Can't remember, but probably.

*and action with violence. Check - Has blood.

Ok!! thanks V1P3R
But why does gamespot gives it a crappy rating?:irked:

I just saw some videos of game play in youtube and it is preety cool.👍

I dont know yet if I should buy it.Pleople say its cool but I also trust ratings.

If you must go rent it, or hell it's probably a $5 at the Gamestop used bin. I don't think you can really go wrong with it. I have no bad things to say about it. In fact I saw Killzone 2 gameplay and just to refresh my memory played Killzone and was overly impressed because I really can't say it's aged all that much.

The game got so-so ratings because it was hyped up to be a Halo killer. Supposedly it wasn't, but whoever doesn't think so is crazy. I've played several hours of Halo and Halo 2 with friends and I prefer the realism of Killzone. Laser shooters are just way too overdone. I linked to the game's intro video in my first post, be sure to check it out. I also recommend reading this blog.

Okay! Once I have three cool games on my mind, I will ask you all wich one to buy.
So far I only have two.

1.Time Splitters 3
2.Killzone
3. ....................... (Coming soon or later)

The only problem that I have with Killzone is that the feel from first player to multiplayer is very different.

Timesplitters 2 I sunk the most time into. It had an amazing map editor complete with bots that you just couldn't beat. You could whip up an awesome map in 5 minutes, then you and a buddy could jump right in and add a whole crap load of bots if you wish. That game was one of the best PS2 games ever.

Timesplitters 3 was also very good, but just slightly under Timesplitters 2 when it cme to single player.

It is an amazing series and you should pick up all 3 of them if you get the chance.

very good game.......

dude, the story is AWESOME!!!! there is so much stuff you can do. I have not played all the way through it, but so far, its amazing. look up the review on gamespot.com.

Exactly what I was going to say. Black, Timesplitters 2, or Timesplitters 3. Soldier of Fortune was a pretty good single player also and was extremely gory.

I had a ton of PS2 games from all genres before PS3. I ended up trading in half my PS2 games in for a PS3 at launch, the only shooters I have left are Killzone and Socom series. My pick, Killzone, after Gran Turismo 3 and 4, this was the game that used up most of my time.
