Finally managed to win those cursed Zonda races in the C12S - thanks to the custom diffs!!

I never have to drive them again!! I'M FREE!!! FREE!!!

You :censored:ing beauty!

I think the Zonda is all right once you set it up right.

Plus not every car has F1 handling abilities.

Treat the car with expect and you might get somewhere.

You Treat it like S*H*I*T and you get no where. I hope the sensor didn't pick that up :D.

Cheers

Would you mind posting your Zonda settings so that everyone else can slide on past this headache? I never got my car tuned in real good, I was just stuborn and raced until I managed to come across in first (:

Yeah, no problem - when I fire GT3 up later I'll put 'em up - it was for the C12S, not the race car. TCS and ASM were at max!

Okay

Settings are for the C12S. with the maximum turbo - forget which, has about 1200hp.

Springs 19.0F 18.7R
Ride 53mm F & R
Damper Bound 9 F & R
Damper Rebound 9F 10R
Camber 3.0F 1.5R
Toe 0F 0.5R
Stabiliser 7F 6R

Brakes 24F 22R

LSD Initial 0F 10R
LSD Accel 0F 60R
LSD Decel 0F 60R
Gear - Auto setting 39

Downforce 0.29F 0.66R
ASM 20
TCS 10

Tips - run a lot of laps in qualifying and work out your braking points - they'll be a lot earlier than you think.

The car is a pig (more so) on cold tyres - don't worry about keeping the lead early, just stay within a couple of seconds of the pack

All the cars stop for tyres in the Rome race, but not in the Rome II race.

Run superhard tyres.

Passing's reasonably easy - just make sure you get a good clean go at the corner leading on to either of the straights, and you'll have enough momentum.

Whatever you do, don't get sucked into braking too late - the Zonta won't stop.

If you dont have any luck with his settings, you can try out mine. I HATE tcs and asm. i feel they totally screw up the abilities of the car and limit everything you do, i turn them off. always. (thats why im having a hard ass time with time trials  ) these settings are for the Zonda Race car, i would have used the C12S but i won the Zonda racer before i even thought about doing the zonda cup. i laped everyone on the Rome II, and i laped everyone twice on Rome. i laped em twice on Rome because they all pitted on the 9th lap, so i hauled ass just for that :D
i like to drive very realistic, so i always set up turns proper and brake in time. and i use high brake settings, so only apply about 75 - 80% brakes. well, here are the settings...

Zonda Race Car
1195HP
Spring Rate = Front: 11.4 Rear: 12.8
Ride Height = Front: 60mm Rear: 64mm
Shock Bound = Front: 5 Rear: 6
Shock Rebound = Front: 5 Rear: 6
Camber Angle = Front: 2.0 Rear: 1.3
Toe Angle = Front:0.0 Rear:0.0
Stabilizers = Front: 4 Rear: 5
Brake Balance = Front: 20 Rear: 22
Limited Slip Initial = Rear: 8
Limited Slip Accel = Rear: 36
Limited Slip Deccel = Rear: 18
Gears (auto setting) Lvl 45
Downforce = Front: 0.76 Rear: 1.05

As always, be real gentle on the gas from 1st through 3rd gears.
And use Super Slicks, you wont even need to pit. have fun! 😈

Oh and for the record, i love the Zonda C12S, and the Zonda Racer even more so. You just need to respect it as someone said earlier. once you learn respect, it learns to turn :p

Oh - I quite like the Zonda race car - but the weight of the C12S really works against it. I would prefer to run without ASM and TCS - but I need that 100%. Maybe later.

This is a good example of what GTPlanet is here for. Members building little 'howtos' for individual races, trouble spots if you will. I'm going to talk to Jordan about getting this kind of information assembled into a page all of its own. Then we could add too it as we go along. What new members are looking for is the information. First of all, the information has to be correct and abundant, then it has to be assembled and managed properly. It also helps if it looks good on a website (:

Ok, sent the PM to the J-Master. Perhaps something will come of this. Lets hope! (:

I've heard alot of bashing on the Zondas. I aggree, they are NOT for many tracks. But far as speed is concerned, that it has. Other than a few other cars, not may cars can beat it. Fully suped, the Zonda almost beat out my Viper GT fully suped. My viper won be .034 seconds.....now that is CLOSE!!

If there is a settings only forum will
someonne tell me where it is. If not this Padawan learner could sure use one. Calling all masters... Help!
