My approach on all this is to try to maybe mentor those who find GT4 a bit too tough, or completely too tough. Now if I wanted to, I could have made fun of everyone like the school bully or a street thug. Eastley is the author of this thread, and I think that those who may not have so much luck or success in GT4 should sort of think about what has to be done to do much better.
In one way, maybe PD's decision to make this game tougher than tough is perhaps a response to the "GT is too easy" deal. I thought GT3 was tough enough, and GT4 is a brand new challenge for GT veterans like myself. I've raced almost everything from a 2-lap race at High Speed Ring to a 2 hour, 42 minute endurance at Tokyo R246. Some things are still very new to me as I play this game. I don't think that GT4 is so easy a child can do it. Hell, some would probably be crying or throwing a tantrum after losing a race. As I stated before, if it's too tough then nevermind A-Spec/B-Spec points, all golds, 100% completion, and just race to win. If it means to have to rig a machine with a Stage 3 NA or a Stage 4 Turbo (or for some tuner machines, a Stage 5 Turbo), then do it. If you're THAT desperate, go for it. And if you're used to B-Spec Mode, you'd better know how to drive for real when you get to the Special Conditions hall.
So from a passionate approach, if you think you're a horrible GT4 racer, you're not the worst GT racer in the world. Don't put yourself down for losing a race because as I learned, sometimes you have to accept defeat. For myself, when there's a race that I SHOULD have won but didn't, it's simple. Just retry. Keep retrying until you bring home the gold. My win ratio as of the date of this post is 94 of 121 (77.6%). Don't give up. I hope I'm providing sufficient advice to all of you troubled GT4 racers.
