GT4: I think about all the cars I've driven, and then I think about all the cars I
haven't driven yet (hundreds of thema).
Nurburgring. First videogame I've ever driven this track on.
Missions.
Now whenever I think about the
first Gran Turismo, it reminds me of a lot of stuff too; a lot of it much more involving. Like getting sick of Resident Evil and other games in which I kept dying over and over. Wonder if there's any games out there that DON'T feature death?!?
I had just moved into a basement room, painted it all black (my new roomie freaked cuz I forgot to ask her if I could) and spending hours playing GT once I learned & read about it online.
Christmas Lights. I had a regular incandescent bulb in my room, but I preferred using a string of christmas lights for illumination instead.
...getting done my swing shift at the printing job (10 pm), closing up the shop, and then biking, bussing, or driving home AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE so I could get my GT fix.
....all of this applies to GT2 as well, but I eventually moved out of the house with the christmas lights and got an even bigger room.
...Actually, thinking of GT2 reminds me of my awesome roomie Dave! Once he found out I had GT2, we (and this red-head girl sometimes) would spend HOURS in 2-player mode!

I miss those days.
GT3? Not so much. Thinking of GT3 makes me mildly depressed! Was going thru some depressing/frustrations during this time, while trying to beat a drug addiction. So thinking of GT3 makes me think of escapism. The rush I got from some of GT3's more intense races was my substitution for my former drug habit in a way.
